CLUTCH DEVICE FOR A DRIVETRAIN OF A VEHICLE
A clutch device includes first frictional elements and second frictional elements connectable to the first frictional elements. The clutch device has a hub connected to a first part of the second frictional elements, a movable contact plate connected to a second part of the second frictional elements, a disengaging plate for actuating the contact plate, and a pressure disk. A first bolt extends through the pressure disk and includes a first end attached to the disengaging plate, and a second end attached to the contact plate. A compression spring is positioned between the first end and the pressure disk. A leaf spring is joined to the contact plate and to the hub. A first centrifugal unit is arranged to move the pressure disk in the axial direction against the compression spring to clamp the first and second frictional elements when a first speed of rotation is reached.
Power Transmission Device
A power transmission device has a back torque transmission cam that brings driving clutch plates 6 and driven clutch plates 7 into press contact with each other. A second clutch member 4b is moved when a rotational force is input to a first clutch member 4a via the output shaft 3. The pressure member 5 is located at a non-actuation position. A torque transmission portion transmits a rotational force transmitted to the second clutch member 4b to the first clutch member 4a not via the back torque transmission cam.
Power Transmission Device
A power transmission device has a back torque transmission cam that brings driving clutch plates 6 and driven clutch plates 7 into press contact with each other. This occurs by moving a second clutch member 4b when a rotational force is input to a first clutch member 4a, via the output shaft 3. A pressure member 5 is located at a non-actuation position. A back torque transmission cam can hold abutment between an interlocking member 9 and weight member 8 by moving the second clutch member 4b in a direction of being brought into proximity to the interlocking member 9.
Powertrain interface module
Vehicles that are relatively heavy and/or configured to transport heavy loads may utilize a powertrain comprising an electric machine capable of operating at high speeds and a multispeed transmission to propel the vehicle. An interface module is configured to modulate torque between the electric machine and the multispeed transmission allowing the electric machine to smoothly match speed as the multispeed transmission shifts between gears. The interface module facilitates efficient, predictable, and reliable modulation of torque between an input and an output of the powertrain of the vehicle.
Torque limiter and drive device
A torque limiter includes: a first rotary member configured to be rotated by a drive source; at least one first friction member engaged with the first rotary member; at least one second friction member arranged so as to overlap the first friction member, and configured to rotate with rotation of the first rotary member by using frictional force generated between the second friction member and the first friction member; and a second rotary member engaged with the second friction member. It is preferable that the first rotary member and the second rotary member be pivotally supported by an identical rotary shaft, and that, while either the first rotary member and the second rotary member is fixed to the rotary shaft, the other one be supported so as to be rotatable about the rotary shaft.
Torque limiter having over-speed protection
An apparatus for connecting a rotational drive member to a rotational driven member brakes rotation when either the torque transmitted between the members exceeds a predetermined torque limit or the rotational speed of the drive member exceeds a predetermined rotational speed limit. The apparatus includes a torque limiter configured to actuate a braking mechanism or disconnect transmission when the torque limit is exceeded, and an over-speed governor configured to trigger the torque limiter when the rotational speed of the input element exceeds the rotational speed limit. The over-speed governor may trigger the torque limiter by reducing the torque limit of the torque limiter, or by introducing rotational drag in the apparatus to increase transmitted torque.
Overrunning clutch for an engine starter adapter
A device for operatively connecting an engine starter to an engine where the engine includes an engine crankshaft and the engine starter has a starter shaft with a length and a worm, or worm screw, of a worm drive spaced radially from the starter adapter shaft and within the length of the shaft is described herein. The device compromises a worm gear assembly as operatively attached to the starter adapter shaft. The a worm gear assembly includes a worm gear, or worm wheel, positioned to engage the worm and an overrunning clutch positioned radially between the worm gear and the starter adapter shaft and operatively engaging the starter adapter shaft.
Clutch for a winch or hoist
A clutch comprises an input shaft, an output shaft and a biasing member. The biasing member is arranged to provide a biasing force that allows torque transfer from the input shaft to the output shaft via one or more input friction plates and one or more output friction plates. Rotation of the output shaft may cause the biasing force to vary to adjust the maximum torque setting of the clutch during reeling-in or reeling-out of a winch cable around a winch drum. A retainer may be included in the clutch which retains the biasing member in operative connection with the output shaft and translates axially relative to the input shaft upon rotation of the output shaft. The axial translation may cause the biasing force to vary by varying the compression of the biasing member.
