SEALING MEMBER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING A SEALING MEMBER

There is provided a sealing member (100) for providing a sealing between two inter-attachable parts. The seal comprises a band (110) and a sealing element (120). The sealing element comprises a slit (130) in which the band is at least partially accommodated. The sealing element further comprises at least two deformable portions (140a, 140b) oppositely arranged at respective peripheral edge portions (145a, 145b) of the slit.

GASKET

A gasket has a plurality of gasket members including annular reinforcing rings formed around respective axes and annular elastic body parts that are formed around the respective axes and that are formed from elastic bodies attached to the respective reinforcing rings. Outer peripheral surfaces of the plurality of the reinforcing rings are close to each other, and the plurality of the elastic body parts are joined together.

Spiral wound gasket

A spiral wound gasket includes a resilient sealing element including spirally wound, alternating layers of metal banding and winding fill material that incorporates a significant quantity of talc with quantities of fiber and binder. Either or both of an outer guide ring and inner guide ring may extend from peripheral outer and inner surfaces of the sealing element. Embodiments of the gasket overlay one or both axial faces of the sealing element with a layer facing material that incorporates a significant quantity of talc with quantities of fiber and binder.

Cylinder head gasket

A cylinder head gasket to be mounted between a cylinder block and a cylinder head of an engine includes: at least one bore-hole plate having a bore hole which corresponds to a cylinder bore of the cylinder block; and a main plate disposed so as to surround the bore-hole plate, wherein the bore-hole plate and the main plate are separated from each other without being in contact with each other, while being connected with each other with a heat insulating member interposed between the bore-hole plate and the main plate.

Sealing system having interlocking inner diameter seal element to resist pressure changes

Gasket seals for high pressure applications include retaining elements with inner diameter seal elements that interlock with the retaining element to provide resistance to movement in both axial and radial directions between the retaining element and seal element. High pressure sealing may be accomplished using a metallic core retaining element to which an electrically isolating material is bonded on either or both sides. Sealing is achieved through an inner diameter dielectric sealing element, such as a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) inner diameter sealing ring. Flanges of a joint in a fluid flow ling may be bolted together with the gasket seal interposed therebetween. In the event of pressure changes, the inner diameter seal resists being drawn into the flow line, and resists axial movement relative to the retaining element, through dual locking members that secure the seal to the retaining element.

A sealing material including a water-resistant sheet, wherein the water-resistant sheet includes layered clay minerals having a thickness of 0.5 nm to 800 nm. A sealing material including a sheet, wherein the sheet includes modified layered clay minerals in which at least a portion of a first cation between the interlayer of swellable layered clay minerals is ion-exchanged with a second cation, in a first cation being one or more selected from Na.sup.+ and Li.sup.+. A sealing material including a sheet, wherein the sheet includes layered clay minerals having a thickness of 0.5 nm to 800 nm, and having one or more selected from K.sup.+, Ba.sup.2+ and Pb.sup.2+ are contained in at least a portion in an interlayer of the clay minerals.

STATIC SEAL WITH INTEGRATED SUPPORT FUNCTION
20240011561 · 2024-01-11 ·

A seal with integrated support function for a static axial seal application in the secondary force flux, for a resulting sealing gap, and with variable height. The seal includes a first structure with a first material, and a second structure with a second material. The first and second structures are connected. The first structure has a higher hardness, or Shore A hardness, than the second structure. The first structure has an elongate form, a first and second end, and is insertable lengthwise into a sealing groove. The second structure at least partially encloses the second end and forms a flexible region adjoining the second end, where the seal is compressible in the flexible region and can compensate for differences in height.

The seal provides functional integration with integrated support function with a flexible region for bridging large and variable sealing gaps and a sealing function relating to contacting parts.
