VALVE SEAT AND A VALVE SEALING ARRANGEMENT OF A VALVE ASSEMBLY
20240418273 · 2024-12-19 ·

A sealing arrangement for a valve can include a first seat portion, a second seat portion extending from the first seat portion in a first direction, and an anchor portion extending from the first seat portion in a second direction transverse to the first direction. The anchor portion can include an anchor section having a first sealing surface to provide a first seal within the valve and a convolution section arranged between the first seat portion and the anchor section and including at least one bend that is resiliently compressible in the second direction so that the first seat portion moves in the second direction when the convolution section of the anchor portion is compressed in the second direction.

Handle insert for valve

Exemplary embodiments are directed to valves, generally including a body assembly and handle assembly. The body assembly generally includes a body and a stem passing through the body. The handle assembly generally includes a handle body and an insert. The insert provides an interface between the stem and the handle body. The insert includes protrusions extending therefrom configured to distribute stress resulting from a moment load applied to the handle assembly through the handle body to reduce failure of the handle body. Methods of positioning a valve are also provided.

BUTTERFLY VALVE

A butterfly valve comprises a seat ring (1), a centered valve disc (3) and a valve axis (16). The seat ring (1) and the valve disc (3) are constructed to co-operate as first and second elements of a seal for sealing a volume in which the valve axis (16) is located from internal volume of the valve. The seal is substantially a radial-force-type seal with respect to the valve axis (16). The torque for opening or closing the valve is not more than 160 Nm. The invention relates further to an actuator for a butterfly valve comprising either a voltage detection and/or a temperature and/or humidity controller and/or a safety subsystem to prevent fire in the case of fault conditions. The invention relates further to a hand crank detection system for a butterfly valve, a position indicator for a butterfly valve and an adapter between a butterfly valve and its actuator.

Valve and Coupling

A valve and coupling for joining pipe elements has a valve body captured in a central space defined by a plurality of coupling segments attached to one another end to end. The inner surface of the valve body defines a bore. A liner on the inner surface surrounds the bore and forms a seal with a valve closing member. Circumferentially arranged projections on the segments engage and center the valve body within the central space. The liner has lobes that extend axially in opposite directions. The lobes are compressed between the segments and the pipe elements to form a fluid tight seal when connection members are tightened to draw the segments toward the central space and into engagement with the pipe elements.

A seal (6), which is intended for a valve (1) comprising a body (3) and a shutter element (4) movable in a bore (31) of the body under an action of a drive shaft (5), includes at least one elastomeric ring segment (8) having a passage opening (81, 83) for the drive shaft (5). The elastomeric ring segment comprises a surrounding portion (82, 84) arranged around the passage opening (81, 83) and lateral arms (86, 88) which extend in the circumferential direction of the ring while being each connected to the surrounding portion. Starling from each junction (89) between the surrounding portion (82, 84) and a lateral arm (86, 88), the surrounding portion flares outwardly in an axial direction (X-X) of the ring relative to the lateral arm.

VALVE SEAT WITH SEAL FOR USE WITH VALVE ELEMENT IN VALVE ASSEMBLY

A valve assembly includes a valve body defining a fluid inlet in fluid communication with a fluid outlet. The valve body has an inner body surface defining an interior chamber extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. A valve element is disposed within the interior chamber and rotatable through a range of positions relative to the outlet providing a high level of precision control of a fluid flow rate through the valve assembly. A valve seat with a seal is positioned around a valve element. The valve seat is configured to self-adjust its inner radial diameter to correspond to the outer radial diameter of the valve element to maintain a portion of an inner seat surface in contact with an outer valve surface of the valve element through the range of positions.
