Self-repairing and self-sustaining autonomous machines
The metallurgical composition of a machine surface may be determined. Based on the composition of the surface layer and its substrate materials, a mixture of pure metal nanoparticles, each coated with a monomolecular organic layer adsorbed on its surface can be mixed with catalysts, reaction initiators, and/or other necessary ingredients for the repair action of the machine surface, depending on the specific machine, operational type, and/or the nature of the damage. The nanoparticles are applied to the machine surface, the organic monolayer wears away from the nanoparticles under shear stresses and the nanoparticles adhere to the machine surface to form a repair layer on the machine surface, thereby providing a repaired surface.

Slide member and method for manufacturing same
A sliding member (1) is formed of a sintered compact. The sintered compact includes: a base layer (3), which mainly contains an Fe-based structure and further contains 1.0 wt % to 5.0 wt % of Cu, a metal having a melting point lower than a melting point of Cu, and C; and a sliding layer (2), which is sintered together with the base layer (3) in a state of being held in contact with the base layer (3) and has a sliding surface (A). The sliding layer (2) mainly contains an Fe-based structure containing at least one kind of alloy element selected from Ni, Mo, Mn, and Cr and further contains Cu and C, and the content of Cu in the sliding layer (2) is larger than the content of Cu in the base layer.
Actuator and electric beauty device
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an actuator that has a simple configuration and can stably achieve high output without the occurrence of magnetic saturation. This actuator has: a movable body provided with a cylindrical magnet section having alternately N-pole faces and S-pole faces on the peripheral surface surrounding a rotation shaft; and a fixed body provided with, pole tooth surfaces of the same number as the N-pole faces and the S-pole faces, and a coil that excites the pole tooth sections. The movable body has as a turning reference position a position at which the center of the pole tooth surfaces in the circumferential direction and the switching position of the pole faces of the magnet section face each other, and is held to the fixed body so as to be turnable back and forth around the rotation shaft in the circumferential direction.
Method for producing a pendulum arrangement of a pendulum laser device, and pendulum laser device
A method for producing a pendulum arrangement of a pendulum laser device includes producing a universal joint of a pendulum of the pendulum arrangement by forming two orthogonal, at least partially micro-structured shafts via plastic injection moulding and positioning at least two bearing shells on the at least partially micro-structured regions of at least one shaft of the universal joint. The method further includes producing an optic carrier of the pendulum of the pendulum arrangement as a single piece with the bearing shells by overmoulding at least two bearing shells surrounding a shaft of the universal joint via plastic injection moulding. The optic carrier is connected to the universal joint such that it is configured to rotate about the one shaft.
Sintered bearing
A sintered bearing includes a cylindrical portion, one-side increased-diameter portion and another-side increased-diameter portion. A metal structure of the another-side increased-diameter portion has a higher density than a metal structure of a core portion of the sintered compact. A metal structure of the cylindrical portion has an expansion along a direction of ironing by the sizing core and a higher density than the metal structure of the another-side increased-diameter portion. A metal structure of the one-side increased-diameter portion has an expansion along a direction of ironing by the sizing core and a higher density than the metal structure of the cylindrical portion.
