The dust seal-integrated center plate (8) is integrally formed with the lower case (3).
TAPERED ROLLER BEARING
A holder of a tapered roller bearing is made of a resin, has a first gap between an axially inner end surface of a small-diameter-side annular part and small-diameter-side end surfaces of tapered rollers, has a second gap between an axially inner end surface of a large-diameter-side annular part and large-diameter-side end surfaces of the tapered rollers, and is provided to be capable of moving within a prescribed range along the axial direction. The surface of the axially inner end surface of the large-diameter-side annular part is rough, the large-diameter-side annular part is provided with one or more grooves which are oil-holding parts that hold the lubricating oil, and ends of the grooves are positioned to be capable of coming into contact with the tapered rollers.
Half bearing
A half bearing includes circumferentially extending first and second grooves on the inner circumferential surface. The circumferential end of the first groove, on the rotational upstream side of the shaft, has an inclination angle 1 of 135 formed by: a first imaginary line connecting the inner circumferential surface end of a mating surface and the origin of an outer circumferential surface; and a second imaginary line connecting the end of the first groove and the origin of the outer circumferential surface. The circumferential end of the second groove, on the rotational upstream side of the shaft, has an inclination angle 2 of 135 formed by: a first imaginary line connecting the inner circumferential surface end of the mating surface and the origin of the inner circumferential surface; and a third imaginary line connecting the end of the second groove and the origin of the outer circumferential surface.
Half bearing
A half bearing is provided with a first groove and a second groove on the inner circumferential surface side. The first and second grooves extend in the circumferential direction of the inner circumferential surface, and retain lubricating oil. The end of the first groove in the circumferential direction, on the downstream side in the rotational direction of the shaft (the end on the crush relief side), is located away from a crush relief so as not to reach the crush relief. Also, the end of the second groove in the circumferential direction, on the downstream side in the rotational direction of the shaft (the end on the crush relief 14 side), is located away from the crush relief so as not to reach the crush relief.
Turbocharger bearing
A fluid bearing for operably connecting a shaft to a center housing of a turbocharger is provided. The fluid bearing includes a single-piece bearing sleeve defining a bore between first and second ends that each form a thrust face. The sleeve includes first and second bearing portions proximal to an associated one of the first and second ends, and a shank connecting the first and second bearing portions. Each of the first and second bearing portions includes an outer bearing surface defining a maximum outer diameter, and each of the first and second bearing portions includes an inner bearing surface defining a minimum inner diameter for radially supporting the shaft in the bore. The inner bearing surface is a continuous surface free of grooves. The sleeve has a wall thickness defining oil passages spaced from the inner bearing surface and configured to supply oil to the thrust face.
Journal bearing assembly with dual oil cavities
A gas turbine engine comprising a gearbox, the gearbox having gear(s). A journal bearing assembly rotatably supports the gear, the journal bearing assembly having at least a pin, and a journal having a tubular body defining a pin-receiving inner cavity having an inner surface, a first cavity and a second cavity defined in the inner surface of the pin-receiving inner cavity, a rib support located between the first cavity and the second cavity, the rib support being aligned with a longitudinal center of the tubular body, with the first cavity and the second cavity on opposed axial sides of the rib support.
Half thrust bearing for crankshaft of internal combustion engine
A half thrust bearing includes a back metal layer, a bearing alloy layer defining a slide surface, and two thrust relieves formed adjacent to both circumferential end surfaces of the half thrust bearing and each including a thrust relief surface. The back metal layer includes an exposed end face configuring at least a part of the circumferential end surface, an exposed slant surface configuring at least a part of the thrust relief surface, and a transition surface formed between the exposed end face and the exposed slant surface. The transition surface is covered with a cover member including a cover end surface configuring at least a part of the circumferential end surface and a cover slant surface configuring at least a part of the thrust relief surface.
Sliding part
In a pair of sliding parts having sliding faces S that slide with respect to each other, at least one of the sliding faces S has a one-side peripheral edge (4a) and an other-side peripheral edge (4b) and includes: fluid introduction grooves (12) each of which has one end communicating with the other-side peripheral edge (4b), dynamic pressure generation grooves (11) each of which has one end communicating with the other-side peripheral edge (4b) and the other end being surrounded by a land portion, and a release groove (13) provided in the land portion, the release groove (13) communicating with the fluid introduction grooves (12). With the sliding parts, not only a liquid such as oil but also an oil mist serving as a mixture of oil and air can be sealed as a sealed fluid, and generation of oil mist itself can be reduced.
MOVING BODY GUIDING DEVICE
In a moving body guiding device which supplies lubricating oil between a guiding surface of a supporting body and a sliding surface of the moving body and guides a moving body, a lubricating oil pocket having a periphery enclosed by a land portion is provided on the sliding surface of the moving body, a closed loop oil groove is formed along the inside of the land portion, a front portion and a rear portion inside the lubricating oil pocket communicate with one another by means of a lubricating oil pocket return passage at least partially opening in the oil groove, and lubricating oil that has accumulated in the rear portion, in a movement direction, concomitant with movement of the moving body, flows to the front portion in the movement direction.
ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPING UNIT
An electric submersible pump assembly with integral heat exchanger, high-speed self-aligning bearings, and dual bearing thrust chamber is described. The described pump assembly, modules, and components may be used for operating an electric submersible pump at high speeds as well as over a wide range of speeds and flowrates without replacing downhole equipment. The described pump assembly may be shorter than comparable pump assemblies and may be assembled offsite, thereby leading to faster and easier installation with less down time. By operating over a wide range of speeds, the disclosed pump assembly allows the operator to reduce overall inventory, reduce down time for the well, and avoid other complications associated with replacing a pump assembly or other downhole components.
