No pin compliant journal bearing shaft for one part carrier

A journal bearing comprising a central member and at least a first end member separated from the central member by a first undercut having an undercut diameter U1, an outer cylindrical surface of the first end member being axially spaced from an outer cylindrical surface of the central member, wherein the outer cylindrical surface of the first end member has a diameter A, the outer cylindrical surface of the central member has a diameter B, and wherein diameter B is greater than diameter A, and diameter A is greater than diameter U1.

BEARING CONDITION MONITORING DEVICE, TURBOCHARGER, AND BEARING CONDITION MONITORING METHOD

A bearing condition monitoring device is a bearing condition monitoring device for monitoring a condition of a thrust bearing for holding a rotational shaft in a thrust direction. The bearing condition monitoring device includes a first temperature sensor for measuring a temperature of the thrust bearing, and an arithmetic device for counting a frequency at which an evaluation index of a thrust load on the basis of a measurement value by the first temperature sensor exceeds an allowable value, and for outputting an abnormality in the condition of the thrust bearing if the counted frequency exceeds a threshold. The arithmetic device may count, as the frequency, only a case where a state in which the thrust load exceeds an upper limit load continues for not less than a predetermined time.

Ball-and-socket joint for chassis parts of a motor vehicle

A ball joint including a ball stud which has a spherical portion, two bearing shells that are arranged on the spherical portion such that there is a small gap between the two bearing shells, and a housing that is made from plastic in one piece and encloses the two bearing shells such that the two bearing shells are urged against the spherical portion by the housing.

Processes for increasing hydrocarbon production

Systems and methods for increasing hydrocarbon production using an electrical submersible pump are described. The methods typically include, for example, configuring an electrical submersible pump comprising a gas separator to induce a gas lift effect in a well comprising a tubing within a casing. Hydrocarbon production from the well is therefore increased using the electrical submersible pump.

PLAIN BEARING AND TURBOCHARGER

A plain bearing includes: a bearing body; a radial bearing portion arranged on an inner peripheral surface of the bearing body; a thrust bearing portion arranged on an axial end surface of the bearing body; a damper portion arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the bearing body; a dam portion arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the bearing body; and an oil hole having an inlet that opens to at least one of the outer peripheral surface of the bearing body and the dam portion, and an outlet that opens to the inner peripheral surface of the bearing body. The inlet, at least a part of the dam portion, and the damper portion are arranged in this order from an axially inner side toward an axially outer side. An outlet of an upstream side oil passage is connected to the inlet on a radially outer side.

A plain bearing includes a base body having a substantially cylindrical bore bounded by a bore surface, and the bore surface has a longitudinal recess in a load-zone region that is open radially inward and has curved ends connected by axially extending sides. A cylindrical shaft extends through the bore and over the load zone and has an outer diameter less than an inner diameter of the bore. A fluid channel has an opening in the recess and provides fluid to the recess at a pressure that is maintained at a level to offset no more than about 40 percent of a force produced by the shaft in the direction of the load zone.

HYDRAULIC MACHINE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED BEARING

A hydraulic piston machine including a housing, a shaft that is able to rotate relative to the housing, and a cam secured to one of the housing or the shaft. A cylinder block includes pistons that are able to move in the cylinder block opposite the cam in order to generate relative rotation between the cylinder block and the cam. The cylinder block is linked in rotation to the other of the shaft or the housing. A mechanism forms rotation guide bearings for guiding the rotation of the shaft relative to the housing, which mechanism includes a tapered plain bushing interposed between a housing element and an element linked in rotation with the shaft and in which the tapered plain bushing includes a radial through-slit extending through the entire radial dimension of the bushing.
