Disc brake, disc brake system, and parking brake system

The invention relates to a disc brake, comprising a brake carrier, a brake caliper, brake shoes, and an actuating piston. The brake carrier has at least one mounting point for mounting on a vehicle. The actuating piston is displaceably accommodated on the brake caliper and is actuatable for carrying out a service brake function of the disc brake. At least one further actuating piston is provided, which in the direction of its longitudinal axis is displaceably accommodated on the brake caliper. For carrying out the service brake function, the at least two actuating pistons are actuatable, and for carrying out a parking brake function, one of the actuating pistons is actuatable. The invention further relates to a disc brake system and a parking brake system.

Caliper guide assembly

A caliper guide assembly having a guide pin, a guide bore, a cap, and a sensor arrangement. The guide bore is arranged to receive the guide pin. The cap may be secured to an open end of the guide bore proximate a free end of the guide pin. The sensor arrangement may include a first sensor component that is configured to provide an output indicative of relative axial displacement between a first sensor component and a second sensor component.

Air Disc Brake for a Road Vehicle

An air disc brake for a road vehicle is proposed, having a mechanism for causing retraction of the brake pads when the brakes are no longer applied, to avoid parasitic drag caused by continued contact of the brake pads against the brake disc. The proposed mechanism includes a pin located in a fixed position relative to one brake pad, and extending through an aperture in the other brake pad. A coil spring is supported on the pin, and pushes the brake pads apart. Where the pin extends through the aperture the extent of the pin provides an indication of the wear state of the pads and disc, which is visible through apertures in the wheel rim.

MOTOR GEAR UNIT FOR DISC BRAKE APPARATUS AND DISC BRAKE APPARATUS

A motor gear unit for a disc brake apparatus is provided. A speed reduction mechanism is connected to a first connection portion of a motor shaft of an electric motor. A non-excited operation type brake is connected to a second connection portion of the motor shaft.

In a state where the disc brake apparatus is attached to a vehicle body, the motor shaft is disposed so as to be orientated in an upper-lower direction, and the non-excited operation type brake is disposed above the electric motor.

FLOATING CALIPER

A floating caliper may have a caliper body where the caliper body is movably supported in an axial direction on at least at one guide pin. The guide pin may have a pin sliding portion. The caliper body may have a pin seat, which slidingly accommodates a portion of the pin sliding portion. The floating caliper may also have a sealing arrangement between the pin seat and the guide pin. A sealing arrangement outer surface or a sealing arrangement inner surface may have an axial extension, which is smaller than a pin seat axial extension or the length of the pin sliding portion, respectively, creating, in at least one position of the floating caliper during the axial sliding thereof, at least one sealing arrangement channel between the sealing arrangement and the pin seat or the pin sliding portion.
