Wheel brake arrangement
A wheel brake arrangement (100) for a wheel of a vehicle, the wheel brake arrangement (100) comprising a retainer bar (110) and a resilient member (114) connected between the retainer bar (110) and a brake pad arrangement (102) of the wheel brake arrangement (100).
PAD-HOLDING SPRING AND PAD RETURN SPRING ASSEMBLY, PAD ASSEMBLY, BRAKE CALIPER
A pad-holding spring and pad return spring assembly for a brake caliper may have a caliper body adapted to be arranged straddling a brake disc and a one pad-holding spring configured to be arranged between at least one guiding ear of a brake pad housed in the caliper body and the caliper body to bias the brake pad, and a pad return spring configured to bias the brake pad away from a brake disc. The pad-holding spring may have one C-shaped section. The pad return spring may have an anchoring portion operatively connected to the C-shaped section, a coupling portion configured to couple the brake pad, and a linking arm. The coupling portion is elastically movable with respect to the anchoring portion between a retracted resting position and at least one advanced position, towards the disc, and vice versa.
PAD-HOLDING SPRING AND PAD RETURN SPRING ASSEMBLY, PAD ASSEMBLY, BRAKE CALIPER
A pad-holding spring and pad return spring assembly for a brake caliper may have at least one pad-holding spring arranged between at least one guiding ear of a brake pad and a caliper body to bias the brake pad, and a pad return spring. The pad-holding spring has a main extension and at least one C-shaped section. The pad return spring may have an anchoring portion connected to the C-shaped section, a coupling portion to couple the brake pad, and a linking arm connected to the anchoring portion and the coupling portion. The coupling portion is movable with respect to the anchoring portion between a retracted resting position and at least one advanced position, towards the disc, and vice versa. The pad return spring may have at least one winding portion connecting the linking arm to the anchoring portion.
Brake pad assembly for a bicycle and method for assembling a brake pad assembly for a bicycle
A brake pad assembly for a bicycle includes a first brake pad, a second brake pad, and a spreader spring. The first brake pad has a first backing plate with a first rotor facing surface, and a first friction pad secured to the rotor facing surface. The second brake pad has a second backing plate with a second rotor facing surface, and a second friction pad secured to the second rotor facing surface and facing the first friction pad. The spreader spring has a first leaf that is fixed to the first brake pad and a second leaf that is fixed to the second brake pad. At least a portion of the first leaf is positioned between the first rotor facing surface and the first friction pad, and at least a portion of the second leaf is positioned between the second rotor facing surface and the second friction pad.
Disk brake for a utility vehicle
A disk brake with lower cost and improved maintainability is provided. The brake caliper includes at least one actuating device for actuating the disc brake using a moveably guided bridge. The bridge has at least one threaded hole into which an actuating spindle is displaceably located. A brake disk end of the actuating spindle penetrates a caliper closing plate facing the brake disk. The positioning spindle carries a rotatably-mounted pressure piece which presses a brake pad against the brake disc. The opening is sealed by a bellows retained on the brake caliper on one side and on the pressure piece on the other side. A securing ring non-rotatably located on the actuating spindle and rotatably connected to the thrust piece interacts with the bellows during brake application and/or release to maintain a desired air gap between the brake disk and brake pad.
Caliper hardware providing separation between pad and rotor
A caliper hardware clip including a frame having a top edge, a bottom edge, and a front surface, a first recess formed in the front surface to receive an end of a first brake pad, a second recess formed in the front surface to receive an end of a second brake pad, a separator integrally formed with the frame, the separator including a bridge portion extending forward from a central portion of the top edge of the frame, a first spring arm extending down and left from a left side of the bridge portion along the front surface of the frame, and a second spring arm extending down and right from a right side of the bridge portion along the front surface of the frame.
Disc brake caliper
A disc brake caliper is basically provided with a caliper housing, a brake pad and an intermediate member. The caliper housing defines a slot that is configured to receive a brake rotor. The caliper housing is made of a first material. The brake pad includes a mounting plate. The brake pad is disposed in the slot. The intermediate member is disposed between the caliper housing and the brake pad. The intermediate member is made of a second material having a thermal conductivity that is smaller than a thermal conductivity of the first material.
Sliding caliper disk brake including a central return spring of an exterior brake shoe including wear play compensation means, spring and replacement kit
A sliding caliper disk brake (10) that includes an exterior brake shoe (18E) mounted to slide in the fixed support of the brake, wherein the disk brake includes a central exterior spring (48E) for returning the exterior brake shoe (18E) to its inactive position that is fixed to an associated central portion (63) of the exterior brake shoe (18E) and a front portion (50) of which is fixed axially to an associated central portion (58) of the fixed support (14). For returning it to its inactive position, the interior brake shoe is constrained to move axially with the brake piston.
Heat resistant descent controller
A load lowering descent controller having a fixed cylindrical body or capstan about which a rope or cable is turned. The descent controller allows for lowering of the load at a controlled rate by adjusting the amount of friction between the controller and the rope or cable as a function of rope or cable turning and relative contact with rope or cable engagement surfaces in the controller. The fixed cylindrical body or capstan is surrounded by a vented sleeve to prevent the rope from becoming heated and to prevent the user from being injured.
WHEEL BRAKE ARRANGEMENT
A wheel brake arrangement for a wheel of a vehicle, the wheel brake arrangement comprising a retainer bar and a resilient member connected between the retainer bar and a brake pad arrangement of the wheel brake arrangement.
