CHAIN SENSOR DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING WEAR
The invention relates to a method for setting up two sensor systems for monitoring the state of wear of a chain, which method comprises the steps: first positioning of the first sensor system relative to a calibration object, first positioning of the second sensor system relative to the calibration object, carrying out a first signal detection using the first sensor system, carrying out a first signal detection using the second sensor system, wherein the first signal detection using the first sensor system takes place at the same time as the first signal detection of the second sensor system.
Measurement device and kit and methods of making and using the same
A measurement device can include a plurality of wheel support modules. Each of the wheel support modules can be configured to attach to a different type of vehicle wheel and to provide for rotation of the vehicle wheel about an axis. An arm can be removably attached to the first wheel support module. A measurement element that measures deformation of the vehicle wheel can be moveably attached to the arm. The different configuration of each of the wheel support modules allows for various types of vehicle wheels to be measured for deformation using the same measurement device.
TIRE STATE DETECTING DEVICE AND WHEEL POSITION SPECIFYING DEVICE
The tire state detecting device includes a calculating unit that calculates an acceleration difference of the gravitational acceleration value acquired at a first acquiring angle and the gravitational acceleration value acquired at a second acquiring angle; a storage unit that stores a correction formula defined in advance based on an angular difference between the adjacent acquiring angles and an angular difference of the first acquiring angle and the second acquiring angle, and corrects the first acquiring angle to an angle determined in advance from the acceleration difference; a transmission unit that transmits a transmission signal including information indicating the angle determined in advance in addition to information indicating the state of the tire; and a control unit that causes the transmission signal to be transmitted to a wheel position specifying device.
Device for measuring deformations on surfaces
There is described a device for measuring deformations (10) on surfaces endowed with a frame (11) associated to fastening means (20) of the device (10) on the surfaces, the device (10) further comprising, at least a pair of guides (31, 32) associated longitudinally to an inner portion (12) of the frame (11) and spaced apart parallel to each other, and a sliding support (40) perpendicularly associated to the guides (31, 32); the sliding support (40) comprising a transversal groove (41) on which there is disposed a mobile base (42) that receives a measuring element (50).
SENSOR SYSTEM
A LiDAR sensor unit is configured to detect information of an outside area of a vehicle with sensing light. A cover covers the LiDAR sensor unit so as to allow passage of the sensing light while forming a part of an outer surface of the vehicle. A strain gage is disposed on the cover and configured to output a strain signal corresponding to strain generated in the cover. A processor is configured to detect a foreign substance adhered to the cover based on the strain signal.
Laser assisted shifting and drive system alignment tool
A rear shifting and drive system, frame drop out, derailleur hanger and derailleur alignment tool provided with an axle attachment adapter/structure, a moveable collimated light source, and a collimated light source positioning linkage. The axle adapter/structure is attachable to a bicycle wheel axle and is rotationally moveable about the axis of the bicycle axle. The light source is moveably coupled to the axle adapter/structure by the light source positioning linkage, to move in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of the bicycle rear axle. The light source is positioned to shine the cross laser simultaneously on the axle or plane of the axle and the system components of the shifting and drive system. A visual vertical alignment of the cogs of the cassette, and derailleur jockey wheels, to each other in each shifting position, and relative perpendicular to the axle or plane of the axle provides an easy visual aid in assessing the relative positions and orientations of the components. As such, worn, damaged, bent, broken or maladjusted components of the shifting and drive system can be assessed and adjusted, repaired or replaced without disassembly of the shifting and drive system.
ASSEMBLY, ADAPTER DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MEASURING THE HEIGHT OF A FLANGE
The present disclosure provides an assembly, adapter device, and method that utilize a standard displacement gauge or the like, well known to those of ordinary skill in the art, to measure the height of a flange, such as a flange formed via bending a planar vehicle component with a given thickness and, thus, including a radius at the bottom interior of the flange. This assembly, adapter device, and method provide consistent measurements across components, operators, education and experience levels, etc. The adapter device is designed to engage the flange being measured in such a way that consistent engagement of the adapter device with the radius, and, thus, consistent engagement of the assembly with the flange, is provided for measurement.
Coordinate Measuring Machine Measurement and Analysis of Multiple Workpieces
A method evaluates a sample of measurement data from measuring multiple workpieces by at least one coordinate measuring machine. A system of statistical distributions describes a frequency of measurement data values. The distributions are distinguishable based on skewness and kurtosis. The method includes defining a set of statistical distributions that are able to describe a frequency of measurement data values in the entire value interval from the system of statistical distributions for a value interval of the measurement data, which is a specified value interval or a value interval of the measurement data actually arising in the sample. The method includes ascertaining the skewness and the kurtosis from the sample of measurement data corresponding to a first statistical distribution. The method includes checking, using the ascertained moment values, whether the defined set contains a statistical distribution that has the ascertained skewness and kurtosis, and producing a corresponding test result.
Measuring Arm And Process For Inspecting Contours
A measuring arm is made up of a pair of main links pivotally connected together at one end, and a pair of shorter end links each pivotally connected at one end to an other end of each main link. A distance sensor is able to be attached to an end of one of the end links, and to either of a pair of support bases mounted at different locations on a relatively fixed structure. The measuring arm is particularly useful in inspecting contoured surfaces of seals installed on an automobile to aid in detecting defective seals.

A device for holding a vehicle body part to be measured and/or a measuring machine for measuring such a vehicle body part in a reference position, having a baseplate, which includes a layer with a honeycomb structure and at least one outer layer designed to receive holding elements. Lugs, which end in a common plane and bear against the outer layer, protrude from the layer having the honeycomb structure in a manner distributed over the plate surface of the baseplate.
