INDOOR POSITIONING AND NAVIGATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Indoors positioning and navigation systems and methods are described herein. In one embodiment, a system for inspecting or maintaining a storage tank includes a vehicle having: at least one sensor for determining properties of a storage tank and a navigation system. The navigation system includes an acoustic transmitter carried by the vehicle and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor configured to at least partially determine a location of the vehicle with respect to the storage tank. The vehicle also includes a propulsion unit configured to move the vehicle within the storage tank, and an acoustic receiver fixed with respect to the storage tank. The vehicle moves inside the storage tank in concentric arcs with respect to the acoustic receiver.

Handheld mechanical gauge, and method for measuring tread depth of a vehicle tire
A mechanical gauge includes a stock panel with a first measurement scale, and a slide movably arranged relative to the stock panel. The first measurement scale has a series of marks spaced apart at regular intervals within a region of interest. The slide includes a second measurement scale adapted to selectively overlie the first measurement scale within the region of interest. The second measurement scale has a second series of marks spaced apart at regular intervals corresponding to the first series of marks of the first measurement scale. An elongated measurement probe is affixed to the slide and adapted for selectively extending into a groove formed in the tread of the vehicle tire.

AGRICULTURAL TRENCH DEPTH SENSING SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS
An agricultural trench depth sensing system having a trench implement adapted to be disposed in a soil trench opened in a soil surface. In one embodiment an ultrasonic sensor detects a distance to an upper surface of said trench implement or a target disposed thereon. In another embodiment, said trench implement includes one or more fingers which rotate with respect to said trench implement to detect the soil surface relative to said trench implement. In another embodiment, said trench implement includes side sensors for detecting the sidewall of the soil trench.

Machine height sensor system and method
A milling machine having a height-adjustable machine body includes a longitudinal axis and a lateral axis, a plurality of traction elements, a milling rotor assembly; and a machine height sensor system. The machine height sensor system includes a plurality of laterally adjustable machine height sensors and a plurality of position sensors, each associated with a respective height sensor and measuring a lateral extent of the height sensors.
SPECTACLE LENS EDGE SIMULATION TOOL AND METHOD FOR DEFINING A LENS SHAPE WITH SAID TOOL
The present invention relates to a lens edge simulation tool (10) for measuring the fitment of a lens edge profile (LEP) with respect to a frame groove profile (FGP) of a spectacle frame (20), the lens edge simulation tool (10) having a defined edge profile (STP) like a lens edge profile (LEP) of a lens (6) being machined by a defined edger machine (4), the defined edge profile (STP) comprising a bevel portion (11) protruding towards a protrusion direction (A), wherein the lens edge simulation tool (10) further comprises a probe (15) provided at a distal end tip portion (14) of the bevel portion (11) and being moveable (M) along the protrusion direction (A) between a retracted position in which the probe (15) does not protrude from the defined edge profile (STP) and an extension position in which the probe (15) protrudes from the distal end tip portion (14). The present invention further relates to a system (1) and method for defining a lens shape for a machined lens (6) adapted to fit into a frame groove (21) of a spectacle frame (20).
