Carpenter tools
A carpenter square includes a triangular body having a first edge, a second edge, and a third edge, wherein the first, second, and third edges cooperate to define a perimeter edge of the triangular body. A fence is pivoted to the first edge for movement among first, second, and third positions. In the first position, the fence is normal to the triangular body in a first direction. In the second position, the fence is normal to the triangular body in a second direction opposite the first direction. In the third position, the fence is coplanar to the triangular body.

Improved Carpenter Tools
A carpenter square includes a body including a first, second, and third edges. A fence is pivoted to the first edge for movement among first, second, and third positions. In the first and second positions, the fence is normal to the body. In the third position, the fence is coplanar to the body. A hinge assembly pivots the fence to the body and includes a notch in the body, a recess in the notch, and a tab projecting from the fence and fit over the pin for reciprocating and swinging movement. The tab moves between a neutral stance, in which the tab is mis-registered with the recess and disables movement of the fence among the first, second, and third positions, and an advanced stance, in which the tab is registered with the recess and enables movement of the fence among the first, second, and third positions.
Using sensors to detect movement of light fixtures
A light fixture can include a housing and a sensor device having a sensor that measures at least one parameter associated with a position of the housing. The light fixture can also include a controller coupled to the sensor device. The controller can receive multiple measurements of the at least one parameter taken by the sensor device. The controller can also evaluate each measurement against at least one range of acceptable values. The controller can further send a notification when a measurement falls outside the at least one range of acceptable values. The notification can state that the housing is moved out of position and requires attention.

AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM WITH PAIRS OF ELECTRODES
An aerosol-generating system includes a liquid storage for holding a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, a first pair of electrodes, a second pair of electrodes and a control system. The liquid storage includes a first portion in fluid communication with a second portion. The first pair of electrodes is adjacent to or in the first portion of the liquid storage. The second pair of electrodes is adjacent to or in the second portion of the liquid storage portion. The control system is configured to measure an electrical quantity between the first pair of electrodes, measure an electrical quantity between the second pair of electrodes, and determine the orientation of the liquid storage portion based on the electrical quantity between the first pair of electrodes and the electrical quantity between the second pair of electrodes.

Multi-use level that illuminates when level
This is a level designed to light-up when level. The drawings and specifications illustrate how each embodiment, nos. 1 thru 10, FIGS. 1 thru 10a, is designed to achieve this by its unique switching system. Each system is designed to complete the electrical circuitry as required for the level's lights to illuminate when the level is level. Each embodiment and switch system, also referred to as switch mechanism or contact switch, utilizes gravity and balance to direct the moving parts and complete the circuitry, whether by use of a pendulum, wheels, ball, balls, roller, rollers, liquid or leveling arm. The circuitry includes lights(s), battery(s), wiring, the switch system, and optionally a manual on/off override switch.
