Target device and measuring system
A target device, which allows a sufficient amount of reflected light to be obtained from an end portion, is provided and includes a measurement section. In the target device, a retroreflective layer in which a plurality of retroreflective elements are arranged on the entire circumference in a circumferential direction about an axis is formed on at least part of the outer peripheral surface of the measurement section. The retroreflective layer is formed into an uneven shape in which a distance from the axis changes along the entire circumference in the circumferential direction.
Surveying apparatus
A surveying apparatus has a combined structure of a total station and a laser scanner. The surveying apparatus includes a point cloud data acquiring unit, an abnormal part detecting unit, an abnormal part position acquiring unit, and an automatic sighting controller. The point cloud data acquiring unit acquires first point cloud data and second point cloud data obtained by laser scanning that is performed on an object to be inspected at a time interval. The abnormal part detecting unit calculates a difference between the first and second point cloud data to detect a part of the object to be inspected, at which position information varies, as a detailed-inspection target part. The abnormal part position acquiring unit acquires a position of the detailed-inspection target part. The automatic sighting controller controls to make the total station sight the detailed-inspection target part, based on the position of the detailed-inspection target part.

SURVEY SYSTEM, SURVEY METHOD, AND SURVEY PROGRAM
A survey system for accurately surveying an area includes a coordinate acquisition section that acquires a set of three-dimensional coordinates of a survey point or a base station used for determining sets of coordinates of the area, as a set of measurement coordinates, a comparative coordinate acquisition section that acquires at least a height-direction coordinate value of a set of comparative coordinates indicating a position within a predetermined range from the acquired set of measurement coordinates; and a determining section that calculates a difference between a height-direction coordinate value of the set of measurement coordinates and the height-direction coordinate value of the set of comparative coordinates and determines that at least any one of the set of measurement coordinates and the set of comparative coordinates are incorrect when the difference is larger than a predetermined value.

ALIGNMENT TOOL AND METHOD
An alignment tool for an electrical box having a plurality of screw holes includes a body portion and a plurality of limbs extending away from the body portion in a first direction. Each limb is insertable into a corresponding screw hole of the electrical box. An alignment member extends away from the body portion in a second direction opposite to the first direction and has an alignment target. Upon insertion of the limbs into the corresponding screw holes, the alignment target defines a midline of the electrical box.
Geodetic surveying device having automatic high-precision target point sighting functionality
A geodatic surveying device which is equipped with an automatic target point sighting functionality for determining the position of a target point. A reticle pattern that corresponds to the outer shape of the known reticle is stored, wherein a main point of the reticle pattern is predefined as indicating the target point. In order to carry out an automatic target point sighting functionality, the evaluation means are designed such that, after the function start, a camera image of the reticle is automatically recorded, the reticle pattern is aligned with the reticle in the camera image by means of image processing and, depending on a position of the main point in the camera image in the matched state of the reticle pattern, the orientation of the sighting apparatus is changed in a motorized manner such that the optical target axis OA is oriented with high precision at the target point.
