Method and apparatus for carrying out a filling process

The present disclosure recites a method for time controlled carrying out of a filling process including steps of beginning a first flow measurement before or during the start of a filling of a first container, starting the filling of the first container at a first point in time, and ending the filling of the first container at a second point in time, wherein the second point in time is predetermined by a set, first time interval. The starting and ending steps are repeated for filling a second container. The method also includes ending the first flow measurement and ascertaining a total flow of the preceding fillings, comparing an actual value ascertained from the total flow a predetermined, desired value, and-adapting the first time interval based on the comparing step. An apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a control setup for time controlled fill amount control and a flowmeter.

The method for diagnosing urinary disturbances according to the present disclosure includes obtaining at least one ultrasonic image of a bladder for each unit time from a patient who is urinating, obtaining at least one urine region image for each unit time from the at least one ultrasonic image for each unit time, calculating at least one estimated urine volume for each unit time based on an area of the at least one urine region image for each unit time, calculating at least one parameter value with respect to urinary disturbances based on the at least one estimated urine volume for each unit time, and outputting the at least one parameter value.

Method for measuring the quantity of gas introduced into a reservoir and filling station

A measured quantity of gas is introduced into a gas reservoir via a filling station including a flow meter. The quantity of gas transferred by the filling station to the reservoir is measured by the flow meter. The measured quantity of gas is reduced or increased by a predetermined corrective amount to yield a corrected gas quantity.

Resource consumption measurement system and method

A system is disclosed to obtain energy consumption data for an energy monitored property. An identification module is configured to identify, based on first actual energy usage data for the energy-monitored property, one or more daily, weekly, or monthly future time periods when energy consumption is not likely to occur or is likely minimal within the energy-monitored property. A calibration module is configured to transmit electrical signals to open and close at least one of the gas valve and an AC unit switch in accordance with the calibration schedule during a period of time within the one or more daily, weekly, or monthly future periods of time. A computational module may be utilized to calculate a first computed flow rate for the at least one of the gas valve and the AC unit switch. A method and computer program product related to the foregoing system are also disclosed.

A method of monitoring a level of a liquid in a tank of a moveable vehicle includes sensing an orientation of the moveable vehicle relative to a horizontal plane with a vehicle orientation sensor, determining if the orientation of the moveable vehicle is less than an allowable orientation threshold or if the orientation of the moveable vehicle is equal to or greater than the allowable orientation threshold, measuring a level of the liquid in the tank of the moveable vehicle with a liquid level sensor when the orientation of the moveable vehicle is less than the allowable orientation threshold, defining a sensed fluid level value with the controller, and saving the sensed fluid level value in a memory of the controller. The sensed fluid level value is based on the measured level of the liquid when the orientation of the moveable vehicle is less than the allowable orientation threshold.

Dispensing system including a baffled flow regulator

A dispensing system (100) includes a pour cap (102) which may be connected with the neck of a container (900). The cap base includes a main deck (108), a dispensing spout (110) and a venting tube (112). A flow regulator is mounted on the underside of the main deck such that the flow regulator restricts flow through the opening of the dispensing spout. In some embodiments, the flow regulator is a hinged spring-loaded baffle plate (116). In some embodiments, the flow regulator is a gravity ball valve (316). A visual timing device (200) may be advantageously located on the pour cap (102) so that the timing device is easily visible to a user during operation or use of the dispensing system. The constant flow rate provided by the flow regulator allows the timing device to more precisely measure each pour regardless of how much fluid is in the bottle.
