FLEXIBLE COOLING GARMENT SYSTEM
Aspects herein are directed to a cooling garment. The cooling garment can include a vest configured to be worn by a wearer. One or more pockets on the vest may be configured to receive one or more icepacks. The one or more pockets may include a stretch material on a front portion of the one or more pockets. The one or more pockets can further include a non-stretch material on a back portion of the one or more pockets.
Duplex Thermal Transfer Pack
The present invention comprises a duplex thermal transfer pack. The pack includes a large bag containing many smaller sub bags. Each sub bag contains plain water. The volume within the large bag but outside the sub bags contains a second substance. This second substance freezes with a consistency akin to crushed ice or packed snow. The second substance allows the thermal transfer pack to remain malleable even when its contents are frozen.
COOLING APPARATUS
The system comprises a cooling garment that is intended to cool the user of the garment. In one embodiment, the cooling garment is worn under a body armor. In one embodiment, the cooling garment is worn under any other garment or in any situation or environment where the user desires a cooling effect. In one embodiment the cooling garment comprises an outer layer and an inner layer. The inner layer has a plurality of perforations that allow air to flow therethrough. The outer layer is solid, so that air is urged toward the perforations and does not exit the garment away from the user, but instead towards the user. A flexible hose is coupled between the first and second layer and extends outward from the garment. The hose terminates in a quick release coupling that allows it to be removably attached to an air source, such as from a pump or other cooling system. In one embodiment, the quick release coupling is magnetic and is detached by pulling on the coupling or by the user of the cooling garment stepping away from the connection. In one embodiment, the system is used in a vehicle with a pump coupled to the electrical system of the vehicle.

Cooling Products
Comfortable and flexible cooling units and methods of using cooling units for cooling humans, animals or objects, the cooling units including a first weldable textile layer having a peripheral edge, a second weldable textile layer having a peripheral edge, the peripheral edge of the first layer weldable textile layer adjoined to the peripheral edge of the second weldable textile layer around a circumference of the cooling unit, and a phase change material composition contained between the first weldable textile layer and the second weldable textile layer. The phase change material composition may include a pelletized shape stable phase change material which may be suspended in a gel and may be comfortable and conformable.
AUTONOMOUS COOLING VEST
An autonomous cooling vest to cool its user by evaporating a coolant in contact with the user's skin surface is described. Multifunctional panels attached to the vest in the parts corresponding to the human body are permeable to ambient air and contain a liquid retaining screen kept in contact with the user's skin. The cooling support system automatically controls the transfer of the coolant liquid contained in a reservoir to each screen and allows the user to adjust the operation of the system to activate and deactivate the ventilation on the liquid retained in the screens and adjust the amount of liquid dispersed over the screens as needed. The flow of air ventilated by the fans and the air that permeates through the referred multifunctional panels favor the evaporation of the liquid retained in the screens, promoting the user's cooling.
Dermal heatsink exhibiting hydrophilic and contaminant resistant properties and method for fabricating a dermal heatsink
One variation of a method for fabricating a dermal heatsink includes: fabricating a substrate defining an interior surface, an exterior surface opposite the interior surface, and an open network of pores extending between the interior surface and the exterior surface; activating surfaces of the substrate and walls of the open network of pores; applying a coating over the substrate to form a heatsink, the coating comprising a porous, hydrophilic material and defining a void network; removing an excess of the coating from the substrate to clear blockages within the open network of pores by the coating; hydrating the heatsink during a curing period; heating the heatsink during the curing period to increase porosity of the coating applied over surfaces of the substrate; and rinsing the heatsink with an acid to decarbonate the coating along walls of the open network of pores in the substrate.
Self-contained air distribution system
A self-contained portable air distribution system for cooling an individual by the movement of intake and exhaust air flow streams over an individual. The system includes a portable rechargeable battery operated fan that produces both an inlet intake and outlet exhaust air flow streams that provides a cooling effect by evaporating body moisture as it passes over the body.
GARMENT FOR REGULATING PERSONAL BODY TEMPERATURE
A wearable vest for regulating personal body temperature. The vest is fluidly connected to tubes that recirculate water. The water passes through a computer-controlled a thermal unit that has a water block with a pair of Peltier modules that heat or cool the water block. A temperature sensor senses the wearer's core body temperature and selectively actuates the Peltier modules.
REFRIGERATING CLOTHES
Refrigerating clothes may include a clothes body and a refrigerating means having a working medium capable of changing between gas and liquid. The refrigerating means comprises a radiating surface and a refrigerating surface, between which the working medium circulates. The refrigerating surface is abutted against the clothes, and the radiating surface is arranged at one side far away from the refrigerating surface. The radiating surface absorbs thermal radiation from sunlight and provides energy for the working medium, the working medium absorbs heat on the refrigerating surface to realize cooling, and continuously circulates in the refrigerating means without need for frequent replacement.
