RADAR LEVEL GAUGE SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH IMPROVED FILLING LEVEL DETERMINATION
A method of determining a filling level of a product in a tank using a radar level gauge system comprising a transceiver, an antenna, and processing circuitry, the method comprising the steps of: generating and transmitting a transmit signal; receiving a reflection signal resulting from reflection of the transmit signal; determining based on the transmit signal and the reflection signal, for each surface echo candidate, a first measure indicative of a distance and a second measure indicating a rate-of-change distribution of the distance; assigning one surface echo candidate as most likely to correspond to single reflection of the transmit signal at the surface of the product, based on an evaluation of the second measure for each surface echo candidate; and determining the filling level based on the first measure for the assigned surface echo candidate.

Method for determining and/or monitoring the fill level
The present disclosure relates to a method for determining fill level of a substance in a container using a measuring device working according to the travel time principle. The measuring device transmits signals to the fill substance and, based on signal fractions reflected back in the container, ascertains an echo curve. The echo curve is transmitted to a superordinate control unit, and an envelope curve enveloping the echo curve is created and transmitted to the superordinate control unit. The echo curve and envelope curve are evaluated by the superordinate control unit. A wanted echo signal of the echo curve and envelope curve is identified. During the determining of the fill level the fill substance and the container are subjected to a current process. Based on information concerning the current process, plausibility of the wanted echo signal is checked and the evaluation is dynamically adapted to the current process.

APPLIANCE INTERFACE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR LIQUID INGRESS DETECTION IN THE APPLIANCE INTERFACE
An electronic system comprising an appliance interface and an electronic device couplable to the appliance interface is disclosed. The appliance interface comprises at least one primary appliance terminal, a reference appliance terminal, and a dielectric region separating the at least one primary appliance terminal and the reference appliance terminal. The electronic device comprises at least one primary device terminal configured to connect to the at least one primary appliance terminal, and a reference device terminal configured to connect to the reference appliance terminal. The electronic device is configured to generate and apply an electrical reference signal to the reference appliance terminal and to detect an electrical primary signal from the at least one primary appliance terminal. Further, the electronic device is configured to compare the primary signal with the reference signal, and, in accordance with at least a component of the primary signal being identical to the reference signal, determine that liquid is present in the appliance interface. Thereby, the electronic system can detect a presence of liquid in the appliance interface: only through the presence of (electrically conducting) liquid in the appliance interface can the primary signal, or a component thereof, be identical to the reference signal. The present disclosure further provides a method for detecting presence of liquid in an appliance interface, an appliance interface, and a medical device comprising the electronic system.
