Ultraviolet face shield systems for reducing germ transmission
Several embodiments relating to ultraviolet face shield systems and methods of use are provided herein. Such face shield systems feature an ultraviolet light source capable of inactivating, destroying, or killing germs, bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens such as human coronavirus COVID-19, and protecting individual(s) from infection.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING TAILOR MADE SAFETY FACEMASKS AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a system for supplying tailor-made safety facemask kit or a tailor made mask liner. The facemask kit includes a moldable strip liner. The moldable strip liner can be molded easily by heating at certain temperatures. The heating means can be either by microwave, induction heating, or electromagnetic field. The moldable strip liner can be supplied either separately or can be inserted/attached to the face mask. The tailor made safety facemask comprises a transparent pre-cut sheet, an upper mask liner and a nose-part. The facemask parts are customized and manufactured to fit single individual face geometry or a group of individual face geometries. In several other embodiments of the present invention, the upper mask liner can be made up of heat moldable materials, which can easily formed by heating below 100 C. A method of covering a face by using a tailor made mask liner is also disclosed.
PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR AND MEDICAL FACE MASK SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING THE EYES AND STABILIZING A FACE MASK DURING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
A pair of protective eyewear for securing a medical face mask on a face of a patient to prevent migration of the medical face mask about the face of the patient during a medical or surgical procedure. The protective eyewear may include a main body having a nosepiece and a pair of eye portions secured in the main body. The nosepiece may include a fastener defining a mask-receiving space for releasable receipt of a ridge of a medical face mask. The eyewear may additionally include one or more straps or other head securing structure, extending from the main body, to secure the eyewear to a head of the patient. Further, there is provided a system protecting eyes of a patient during a medical or surgical procedure and a method of securing a face mask to a face of a patient to prevent migration of the medical face mask about the face of the patient during the medical or surgical procedure.
Automated Face Shield Assembly
An automated face shield assembly includes a band that is wearable around a user's head. A pair of actuators is each is coupled to the band and a face shield is coupled to each of the actuators. The face shield covers the user's face when the actuators are actuated into a first condition. The face shield exposes the user's face when the actuators are actuated into a second condition. Moreover, the face shield is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit airborne transmission of infectious diseases between the user and another person. A pair of motion sensors is each coupled to a respective one of the actuators. The actuators are actuated into the first condition when the motion sensors sense motion to cover the user's face when the person approaches the user. Additionally, the actuators are actuated into the second condition when the motion sensors do not sense motion.
Medical Face Protective Device With Optimum Protection
A medical face protective device is disclosed which includes: a headpiece, a clear plastic sheet (shield), a headpiece cover (gap cover), and a drape with a pre-installed cord on both sides of the drape. The free end of the cords are located in the middle of the bottom edge of the drape.
All parts are attachable/detachable and reusable.
The drape attaches to the shield and to the headpiece. The wearer pulls the free end of each cord and ties them under the chin, covering the open space between the shield and the face.
The open space between the shield and the headpiece is covered by the headpiece cover.
The medical face protective device provides full visibility of the wearer's face and allows free passage of air while preventing the passage of airborne viruses and droplets containing pathogens.
Deformable end effectors for cosmetic robotics
A device for ensuring safe operation of a robot used for cosmetics applications, including the retrofitting of robots not originally design for such applications. In some embodiments, the robot is used for the automatic placement of eyelash extensions onto the natural eyelashes of a subject. In some embodiments, a safety barrier is provided by a physical barrier or light curtain. In other embodiments, readily deformable end effectors are used.
Multi-Layer Visor System for Surgical Hood
A multi-layer visor system for a surgical hood or garment is provided. The system includes a base film layer and one or more removable film layers that are coextruded at high temperature to form a sterile surface between each of the film layers should the surgeon elect to peel away a soiled or splattered removable film layer during the course of a surgical procedure so that an unobstructed view can be maintained. Thus, no separate sterilization step is required in order to sterilize the layers of the visor system. Each of the removable film layers can additionally include a tab having distinctive features in order to enable a wearer to easily distinguish between the tabs in order to make it easier for a wearer to know which tab to pull first to remove the outermost removable film layer. Further, because the tabs are located about the perimeter of the removable films, viewing is not obscured, yet the film layers are held securely in place until easily removed from the underlying removable film layer or base film layer.
Headgear
A headgear device for a user including an integrated face shield, mask and hood. More specifically, the headgear device includes a hood, a face shield, and a moisture barrier fabric to cover the user's mouth when the headgear device is worn and direct air out through a breathable particle filtration fabric.
Eyewear accessory
A patient safety shield, and its method of use, features a deflector shield that closes gaps between the bottom profile of safety eyewear worn by the patient and the patient's cheek area. The deflector shield, when positioned, oriented, and profiled across the bridge of the patients nose and under the patient's eyewear, deflects fine infectious and or injurious debris, which originates in the patient's oral cavity, from being ejected off moving parts of dental tools during a dental procedure. The deflection by the deflector shield prevents potentially infectious or injurious debris from reaching and harming the eyes of the patient that may enter through the bottom gaps.
Dust hood
A dust hood is provided having a front face of an inelastic material and a rear face of the inelastic material. The front face has a first opening configured to correspond to a location of a user's eye protection when worn by the user. The front face also has a primary breathing opening configured to correspond to a respirator hose or respirator air intake location when worn by a user. The dust hood openings each comprise a gasket for sealing the corresponding openings against corresponding accessories. Accordingly, the first opening gasket seals the hood against a user's eye protection and the second opening gasket seals the primary breathing opening against a user's respirator hose or respirator air intake.
