PROTECTIVE MASK
A protective mask includes a transparent impermeable membrane; a frame that substantially surrounds and is coupled to a perimeter of the impermeable membrane and is configured to be positioned about a face of a user; a seal operatively coupled to the frame that seals against a face of the user and extends around a perimeter of the frame, wherein the frame and the seal are substantially impermeable to the passage of air therethrough; an air passageway formed in the frame; and a filter element disposed to filter air passing through the air passageway. The air passageway and the filter element are disposed on a bottom portion of the frame.
FACE SHIELD SYSTEMS FOR SECURING REMOVABLE FACE SHIELD LENSES
An example face shield includes a face shield lens comprising a locking channel, a face shield shell configured to receive the face shield lens when the face shield is inserted into the face shield shell, and a lens lock configured to move between: a locked position in which the lens lock is configured to engage the locking channel of the face shield to secure the face shield lens to the face shield shell; and an unlocked position in which the lens lock is configured to disengage the locking channel of the face shield to permit insertion of the face shield to the face shield shell and removal of the face shield from the face shield shell.
Face shield for baseball cap
A face shield comprising: a shield having a perforation that receives a brim of a baseball cap, and a pair of tabs extending from the shield that engage opposing sides of an inner portion of the baseball cap. Each tab may include a projection extending away from the base, and the projection may be inserted into a sweatband within the baseball cap.
ANTI-MICROBIAL, DISINFECTION CHAMBER RESPIRATORY FACE MASK/SHIELD
A self-sterilizing, face mask, respirator, open or enclosed face shield employs germicidal, far UV-C light safe for direct human exposure, mitigating risk of acquisition or transmission of respiratory pathogens, such as COVID 19. Device attachments or special lenses direct far UV-C light into the respiratory chamber and/or reservoir areas of infection including nasal, oropharyngeal or ocular areas to reduce or eliminate pathogens, serving also as a treatment modality. In a preferred embodiment the face shield has a removable front section, which can be exchanged or replaced with sections that include various functional attributes while maintaining germicidal protections and avoiding need to remove PPE during these activities including consumption of liquids, oral medications or food, as well as providing antimicrobial absorbent sneeze or cough guard or rhinorrhea secretion absorption, or a communication device to address communication deficiencies caused by respiratory protection barriers.
HANDHELD DEMI-FACE SHIELD DEVICE
A handheld demi-face shield device is easy to use, and can be easily attached and removed from a user's face. The handheld demi-face shield device includes a demi-shield comprising an outer edge, a handle end, a left edge, a right edge, a block end, a bottom portion, and a top portion; a nose bridge, a dowel adapter; and a dowel handle. The nose bridge is removably affixed to demi-shield and the dowel adapter includes a slideable clip, a receiving portion, a face, plurality of dowel holes, a dowel cuff; there is also a dowel handle.
PERSONAL PROTECTION DEVICE
Disclosed is a personal protection device comprising a frame structure, a face shield structure configured to be supported by the frame structure, and a headband structure configured to be adjustably mounted on the frame structure, at least a portion of the frame structure being formed of a first molded polymeric material, and the headband structure being formed of a second molded stretchable polymeric material, wherein the first and second polymeric materials are each formulated with a color to fall into a designated color code group to correspond to a designated access level for a designated restricted area of a healthcare facility, wherein the presence of the device on a health care worker in the facility is a visual indicator of the access rights attributed to the worker in at least one designated region in the facility.
DISPOSABLE SEMI-HARDENED FACE MASK ATTACHED WITH GLASSES
A disposable semi-hardened face mask attached with glasses is disclosed. The disposable face mask is formed of a material and shaped to be disposed across a portion of the face of a wearer. The glasses comprise a frame with bendable temple arms and lenses, wherein the frame is curved to ensure maximum fit and configured to be comfortably worn by the wearer for protecting eyes. The glasses further comprise an interior seal for preventing entry of airborne pathogens that may pass through the eyes from entering into the body. The glasses are detachably secured at the bottom to the disposable face mask using fastening members, which are placed on an outer surface at a top portion of the mask. The disposable face mask attached with the glasses could maintain a sealed fit around the mouth, nose, and eyes to prevent the entry of airborne pathogens.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE
Disclosed herein are personal protection equipment systems which provide improved protection from infectious agents, and can be constructed and distributed in high volume during public health crises, such as global pandemics where supplies become limited and bioterrorism events where public panic and uncertainty can provide additional obstacles to conventional protective measures. Methods of implementing protective equipment are also disclosed herein. The protective biohazard equipment disclosed herein can be made in a short amount of time at a low cost using readily available materials.
FACE SHIELD ASSEMBLY
A face shield assembly includes, among other things, a shield configured to be placed adjacent a front of a head of a user, a tube configured to be placed against a rear of the head of the user, and fasteners. Each of the fasteners binds the tube to at least the shield.
Face Shield
A face shield for covering the eyes, nose and mouth of a user is disclosed. The face shield includes a face shield body that has a transparent surface having a first side edge, a second side edge, and a top edge. The first and second side edges include a first and second anchor/barb, respectively, both of which define a line. A spacer is attached at or near the line, and the spacer extends away from the face shield body. An elastic strap with a first slot and a second slot receives the first and second anchor/barbs. When the user wears the face shield, the elastic strap is in a stretched configuration that pulls on the first and second anchor/barbs, and in this configuration the first slot is detachably affixed to the first anchor/barb, and the second slot is detachably affixed to the second anchor/barb.
