A ventricular assist device controller holding garment assembly includes a shirt that has a front side, a back side, a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a right sleeve, and a left sleeve. The shirt has a neck opening and a torso opening and bounds an interior space. A front pocket is positioned on an outer surface of the front side of the shirt. The front pocket is positioned nearer to the torso opening than the neck opening and has an upper edge comprising an access opening of the front pocket. The front pocket has an exterior wall. A shield comprising a heat resistant material is positioned between the exterior wall and the interior space. A controller receiving space is defined between the exterior wall and the shield and holds a controller for a ventricular assist device.

MEDICAL ISOLATION GOWN AND METHOD THEREFOR

A medical gown constructed by heat sealing a tubular plastic structure made by a blown film process. The medical gown having a front panel and a rear panel, two sleeves for covering the arms of a wearer, with the distal end of each sleeve including an opening for enabling the wearer to penetrate their hand therethrough. Each sleeve of the medical gown having an upper seal portion and a lower seal portion, a neck opening between the two upper seal portions of the two sleeves, a gap for accommodating the body of the wearer between the two lower sealed portions of the two sleeves. A perforated section below each sleeve is provided for severing each of the sleeves from the gown material for ease of donning and wearing.

LEAD GOWN SUPPORT

A wearable support device for use with heavy clothing such as a lead gown or apron is disclosed. The device relieves the shoulders and back of weight by transferring the weight of the lead gown to the waist and hips of the wearers. The device comprises a strap that supports the gown and a bolster disposed on the strap that is located distally. The lead gown is word over the waistband such that it rests upon the bolster. A closure is used to secure the device around the waist of the wearer, and an adjustment can be located on the strap for ensuring a snug fit. The bolster is made of a semi-firm material that is sufficiently firm to support a lead gown and flexible to conform comfortably to the waist of a wearer.

An adjustably positioned foam chin support maintains the chin in a position precluding or minimizing upper airway obstruction. The chin support is seated within a garment with a portion of the support extending above the garment neck for engaging the user's chin. A garment neckband includes tangentially extending tension cords. Each cord extends through an opening in a front panel of the garment. The ends of the cords are pulled to tension the neckband against the back of the user's neck and apply upward compressive force to position the chin support. A cord lock fixes the tension of the cords. A pair of pouches is affixed to the interior of the garment at the mid-clavicular lines, spaced below the cord openings. The lower corners of the chin support are seated in the pouches.

Smock

An adjustable smock that facilitates attachment and detachment from a person. The smock includes a body with one or more adjustable tabs. The tabs extend outward from the body and are configured to be inserted into a corresponding receptacle along an opposing section of the body.

In one example, the article of clothing is an upper-body garment with two arm accesses, an anterior torso access, and two side torso accesses. In another example, the article of clothing is a lower-body garment with two leg accesses, two knee accesses, and two hip accesses. In one example, each access is opened or closed by an incremental fastening device such as a one-way or two-way zipper.

UNDERPANTS FOR PATIENT WITH BEDSORES

The present invention is related to a pair of underpants for patients with bedsores. The underpants include an underpants body and a patch. The underpants body includes a front half portion, a rear half portion opposite to the front half portion, and a crotch portion corresponding to the genital of the patient with bedsores and connected to the front half portion and the rear half portion to form a lumbar opening and two leg openings. The patch includes a fabric layer, an absorbent layer and a waterproof layer. The absorbent layer attaches to the fabric layer, while the waterproof layer attaches to the absorbent layer. The waterproof layer is adapted to attach to an inside surface of the underpants body so that the fabric layer may contact with the bedsore parts of the patient and thus absorb the moisture of the bedsores.

A lift vest of this disclosure includes a base garment shaped to cover at least a substantial portion of an upper torso of a patient, a waist belt connected to the base garment, and a pair of crotch belts removably connected to the waist belt. The base garment may include a chest a waist belt interconnected by cross-webbing. Pulling on one or both of the belts in any direction causes the webbing to tighten about the wearer's torso. The lift vest may include a pair of knee belts connected to the waist belt. The knee belts can be fixed to the waist belt or removably connected to it. The knee belt may include a removable connection along its length. Other embodiments include a base garment covering the upper torso below the armpits and having a single belt connected to garment that provides a hand hold.
