Wearable monitoring and treatment device
A wearable medical device is provided. The wearable medical device includes a garment that includes a sensing electrode, at least one of an inductive element and a capacitive element included in at least part of the garment, and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine a confidence level of information received from the sensing electrode based on at least one of an inductance of the inductive element and a capacitance of the capacitive element.
MEDICAL COMPRESSION GARMENT AND DONNING METHOD
A medical compression garment is provided including a midline opening cut in a medial segment of the elastic garment, dividing its front fabric portion into first and second sections. Fasteners, such as hook-and-loop fasteners, are attached to the first and second sections which connect together to close the opening. Pulls may be included. To don the garment, a wearer places their legs into the garment and pulls the garment along the legs until its top is aligned with the groin. The wearer then inverts and pulls the first and second sections of the garment together and fastens them to close the opening. Afterwards, the wearer pulls up the garment until it reaches the waist. When the wearer subsequently wants to take off the garment, the wearer unfastens the first and second sections and pull the garment down from the waist. The garment thus facilitates the donning and removal process.
Medical apparatus
A medical apparatus can include a garment having a body portion with an outward facing surface and an inward facing surface and defines an access opening. The access opening provides access from the outward facing surface to the inward facing surface. An anchor secured on the outward facing surface can be configured for releasable securement of a first portion of a medical device. An outer panel can span at least a portion of the access opening and define a selectively closesable pocket configured to retain a second portion of the medical device. The garment can have a sleeve that defines an opening through which a third portion of the medical device extending through the arm opening can be routed and secured.
Wearable Article and Method of Making the Same
The wearable article (100) comprises a first portion (101) having first and second opposed margins (103, 105) and a second portion (111) having first and second opposed margins (103, 105). The second portion (111) overlaps part of the first portion (101) in an overlapping region (121) bounded by the second margin (105) of the first portion (101) and the first margin (113) of the second portion (111). A pocket space (127) is formed between the first portion (101) and the second portion (111) in the overlapping region (121).
A GARMENT-TYPE BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION MEASUREMENT DEVICE, AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE GARMENT-TYPE BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION MEASUREMENT DEVICE
An object is to provide a garment-type biological information measurement device having a biological contact-type electrode and having excellent durability against washing. A garment-type biological information measurement device comprising an electrode, wherein the electrode comprises a stretchable conductive layer containing a flexible resin and a conductive filler, a stretchable adhesion acceleration layer, a stretchable hot melt adhesive layer, and a garment fabric, in this order.
Matter of manufacture of compression legging system and associated uses
Described herein, is the manufacture, matter of compositions, function, methods and uses of a compression legging system that combines a swelling monitor, a patient activity monitor, medical compression legging material, and a mobile application to help PTS patients detect recurrent DVT and seek medical attention quickly before the development of PE, while reducing swelling and preventing DVT via compression therapy.
Health monitoring garment and system
A health monitoring garment is provided. The health monitoring garment includes an article of clothing comprising at least one compression section to provide a snug fit against a person wearing the article of clothing and a sensor island. The sensor island includes stretchable circuitry, two or more sensors, one or more power supplies, and optionally one or more wireless communication modules within a self-contained unit. At least one of the sensors comprises a stretchable sensor which may be a respiration sensor. The sensor unit may be provided independent of the health monitoring garment or as a complete system. The sensor island and compression section of the article of clothing also include fasteners of complementary geometries for reversible attachment and disengagement of the sensor island from the compression section.
Post-Operative Lower Body Garment
A post-operative lower body garment has a plurality of inner pockets connected to the interior of the waist portion of the garment. The inner pockets are configured to receive a medical device such as a Jackson-Pratt drain or an insulin pump, and have multiple holes for accommodating any tubes connecting the medical device to the user's body. A lower body portion of the garment comprising pant legs may have invisible zippers integrated into the lower portion of the pant legs for easy access to the user's legs without requiring the user to remove the garment.
Medical tube safety device
The invention includes an alarm assembly configured to engage a tube that is capable of extending into a patient. The alarm assembly comprises alarm circuitry, a wound dressing configured to releasably attach to the patient that includes at least one actuator, and a sensor holder. The sensor holder is configured to be releasably coupled to the tube and includes at least one sensor. The at least one sensor is configured to transmit a signal to the alarm circuitry when the at least one actuator actuates the at least one sensor, and the alarm circuitry is configured to produce an alert in response to receiving the signal. The invention also includes a method of detecting a tube dislodging from a patient, as well as a kit comprising a tube, alarm circuitry, a wound dressing, and a sensor holder.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT COMPRISING ALARM SYSTEM
A protective equipment with an alarm system capable of ensuring safety, workability and convenience, as well as alerting to a life-threatening danger such as heatstroke is provided. The alarm system includes (i) a sensor for detecting a biometric information of a wearer of the protective equipment; (ii) a means for determining if the biometric information which is detected by the sensor reaches a threshold value; (iii) a means for alarming an elevated risk based on an instructions from the means (ii); (iv) a means for transmitting an alarm when the means (iii) is activated; and (v) a means for controlling the means (iii) and (iv).
