Article of apparel including insulation

An article of apparel including insulation material is discussed. The insulation material includes an insulating layer formed of waterfowl fibers and synthetic fibers. The waterfowl fibers are present in an amount of at least 20% by weight of the insulating layer. The insulating layer is generally free of waterfowl plumage.

Insulating double-knit fabric

An improved insulating performance fabric has a double-knit body, formed with traditional, relatively smooth, outer surfaces, and an inner surface with the form of multiple fabric “bubbles” separated, e.g., by a grid pattern of intersecting grooves. An insulating, double-knit performance fabric of this disclosure may also be found in the form of a garment comprising the insulating, double knit performance fabric, or in the form of fabric article comprising the insulating, double knit performance fabric, etc.

Insulated paneling for active sports

An active-insulation paneling component and garments including an active-insulation paneling component are disclosed. The active-insulation paneling component includes insulated panels separated by gussets. The gussets are configured to expand upon an outward pulling force to allow the active-insulation paneling component and/or garment to expand even where the active-insulation paneling component and/or garment are not manufactured from elastic materials.

Apparel Layer System

Aspects herein are directed to an apparel layer system configured to provide variable levels of insulation, warming, or air permeability. The apparel layer system comprises a first layer of material and a second layer of material both extending in a first planar direction. A third layer of material is positioned between the first and the second layers of material and is selectively affixed thereto. An adjustment mechanism coupled to the second layer of material can be mechanically manipulated to shift the second layer of material between different positions or states to achieve variable levels of offset between the first and second layers of material in the first planar direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first planar direction.

GARMENT WITH INSULATED LINER

A garment with insulated liner including a short pant having a shirt loop adapted to be secured to a shirt loop. An insulated undergarment is attached to the short pant, and adapted to cover and fit closely to the body of a wearer to preserve an elevated temperature of the body of the wearer under the insulated undergarment. The garment with insulated liner further includes an inner fly flap reinforced with an internal rubberized layer; and an outer fly flap reinforced with another internal rubberized layer. The inner fly flap and the outer fly flap prevent the insulated undergarment from drastically shifting in turbulent water.

Heat reflecting composites with knitted insulation

Fabrics made for apparel, tents, sleeping bags and the like, in various composites, constructed such that there is at least one metal layer, forming a radiant barrier to reduce heat loss via radiation from the human body, and insulating this metal layer from heat loss via conduction, and a process for its manufacture.

Cold weather vented garment

The present invention relates to breathable, vented, and insulating cold weather garments. More particularly, the present invention relates to garments with chambers to retain an insulating fill material. Perforations along the seams between the insulating chambers may achieve optimal evaporative moisture transfer from the inside (proximal to the body of a wearer) of the garment to the outside environment.

A combination poncho and emergency blanket includes a body consisting of (or alternatively including) a flexible sheet consisting of (or alternatively including) a first outer layer and a second outer layer directly attached to the first outer layer. Such a first outer layer is a front face of the body and the second outer layer is a rear face of the body. Advantageously, the first outer layer includes a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin. Advantageously, the second outer layer includes an aluminized biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin; wherein the first outer layer and the second outer layer have a combined cross-sectional thickness of 24 microns.
