Apparel layer system
12329220 · 2025-06-17 · ·

Aspects herein are directed to an apparel layer system configured to provide variable levels of insulation, warming, or air permeability. The apparel layer system comprises a first layer of material and a second layer of material both extending in a first planar direction. A third layer of material is positioned between the first and the second layers of material and is selectively affixed thereto. An adjustment mechanism coupled to the second layer of material can be mechanically manipulated to shift the second layer of material between different positions or states to achieve variable levels of offset between the first and second layers of material in the first planar direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first planar direction.

Article of apparel

An article of apparel is formed that is effective to regulate the temperature of the wearer. In an embodiment, a thermal regulation composition is obtained comprising a binder, a cooling agent, a latent heat agent, and a heat dissipation agent. The thermal regulation composition is printed to a surface of a textile by pressing the thermal regulation composition against the textile surface such that the binder adheres the cooling agent, latent heat agent, and the heat dissipation agent to the surface of the textile, thereby forming a thermal regulation membrane, and the textile is incorporated into an article of apparel.

Garment comprising an inflatable protection device

A garment (1) comprising an inflatable protection device (10) and a housing (2), the inflatable protection device (10) comprising at least one inflatable bag (12) housed in the housing (2) and designed to move between a rest condition, where it is in a deflated status and an operating condition, where it is in an inflated status and inflation means (14) connected with the inflatable bag (12) and designed, once triggered, for selectively inflating the inflatable bag (12). The at least one inflatable bag (12) is manufactured with an elastic material and, in said rest condition, occupies a limited portion of said housing (2).

Airdapt Inflatable Running Jacket

Embodiments are directed to a inflatable running jacket including an outer layer and an inner layer that define an internal space of the jacket. The layers of the inflatable running jacket may include an access unit and a fan unit coupled to the inner and outer layer. The fan unit blows outside air into the internal space to provide aa additional insulation to the user of the jacket. The fan unit may heat the air used to inflate the jacket to keep the user warm. The fan unit is electrically connected to a power control unit. The power control unit contains a power source and control unit that is used to power on and off the fan unit.

ADAPTIVE VENTING FOR UNIFORMS
20260130450 · 2026-05-14 ·

The present disclosure describes forming one or more vents within a decal or other decorative layer on an article of apparel that dynamically transition (e.g., without manual operation or manipulation) from a closed state to an open state in response to exposure to an external stimulus such as, for example, moisture in the form of perspiration. The vents provide breathability within the decorated region that would otherwise be hampered by the lack of breathability through the decal without the vents. An optional concealment layer comprising a permeable material such as mesh material conceals the wearers skin when the vents are open.
