CHANNEL CALORIE CONSUMPTION AND NOTIFICATION USING MACHINE REASONING
An approach is provided that trains an artificial intelligence (AI) system with a set of eating characteristics corresponding to a human subject. The eating characteristics include one or more eating patterns, health data, and activity data. The trained AI system generates a meal recommendation corresponding to the human subject. The meal recommendation includes a recommended meal time, and one or more food recommendations that are based upon a determined set of caloric needs pertaining to the human subject. The system automatically provides the generated meal recommendation at a time that is based on the recommended meal time using a voice-enabled virtual assistant that is accessible by the AI system.

Animal dentistry apparatus and methods
An animal dentistry apparatus is provided and comprises a jaw assembly. The jaw assembly comprises a lower jaw and an upper jaw, and is configured such that the lower jaw and the upper jaw can move apart and together in a mastication action. The upper and lower jaw comprise at least one tooth. The apparatus further comprises a means, such as a motor, to effect the mastication action. The animal dentistry apparatus may be used to assess a chewable product, and such methods are also provided.
Food Spoilage Monitoring Device
An activatable spoilage monitoring device (2) is housed in a lid for a container. The device comprises a resevoir containing a digestor fluid and a tray (62) containing a digestible material or gel and having a tactile pattern of protuberances (68) formed in a base of the tray. The two parts (4, 6) of the lid axially compress together as the lid is opened resulting in activation of the device by permitting the fluid to come into contact with the digestible material.

ISOTOPIC MARKING AND IDENTIFICATION OF ANIMALS AND PLANTS
An isotopic identification method is provide that makes it possible, where appropriate, to link a livestock animal or animal product to a specific farm, or a plant or a plant product to a farm, by analyzing the concentration of ratios or stable isotopes, and comparing with isotopic codes previously generated in a unique fashion for a set of frames. A method is also provided that makes it possible to impose a unique code on the animals of a farm or on the plants of a farm, and a computer making it possible to store the unique codes generated in memory is provided to generate unique codes for new farms and to perform comparisons.

A METHOD FOR SPECIES IDENTIFICATION AND QUALITY DETECTION OF LIQUID-LIKE SAMPLES BASED ON NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE TECHNOLOGY
The present invention discloses a method of species identification and quality detection of liquid-like samples based on nuclear magnetic resonance technology. In this invention, a two-dimensional relaxation signal containing the .sup.1H T.sub.1 and T.sub.2 relaxation properties of liquid-like samples is obtained by applying a specially designed composite pulse sequence to liquid-like samples, and a fingerprint spectrum from this signal is established. The fingerprint spectrum can be associated with the essential characteristics of the tested sample, thus can be used to distinguish a specific liquid-like sample from the others. The fingerprint spectrum can be easily converted into a digital form, which is not only suitable for constructing big data of fingerprint spectrum for liquid-like samples, but also can be used for quality detection and authenticity judgment of liquid-like samples based on artificial intelligence. The present invention has the advantages of no need for sample pretreatment, non-destructive sample testing, convenience, quickness, excellent operability, good stability and reproducibility, etc., which can be used for species identification and quality detection of a variety of liquid-like samples, which has a wide application value.

X-ray inspection device
An X-ray inspection apparatus suppresses anomalies in inspection results caused by the X-ray inspection apparatus being used while an unsuitable setting is in effect. The X-ray inspection apparatus is provided with an inspection unit, a setting unit, a storage unit, an assessment unit, and a notification unit. The inspection unit inspects an irradiated article using detection data obtained by detecting X-rays. The setting unit sets a setting value used in inspection of the article by the inspection unit. The storage unit stores a detection value based on the detection data. The assessment unit assesses, on the basis of the detection value stored in the storage unit, whether or not the setting value set by the setting unit is suitable. When the assessment unit has assessed that the setting value is not suitable, the notification unit issues a notification to indicate that the setting value is not suitable.
