Encoding a cellulose product
Method of identifying a product which comprises cellulose, wherein in the method a data set is determined which is indicative for multiple constituents of the product or a preform of the product, and the data set which is correlated with the product or the preform is stored in a database.
FABRIC PRICKLE MEASUREMENT TESTER
A test device for determining the prickle property of the fabrics objectively includes nails on a measuring head fixed in an upper region of the test device, wherein the nails come in the contact with stiff fibers. The test device also includes an operation panel, a light source, a camera, a sample holder. The measurement uses a circular movement of the fabric instead of a linear movement unlike the previous studies. The measuring head does not apply any pressure on the fabric, only by lowering the measurement head, the nails squeezed in the head penetrate in the hairs of the fabric. In this situation, during the movement of the head, prickle force caused by the fiber ends can be detected. With the test device, it is possible to test both woven and knitted fabrics.
Method and device for monitoring a yarn tension of a running yarn
Techniques are directed to a method and a device for monitoring a yarn tension of a running yarn in a yarn treatment process. To this end, the yarn tension of the yarn is continuously measured and the measurement signals for the yarn tension are compared with a threshold value of an admissible yarn tension. In the event of an inadmissible tolerance deviation of the measurement signals, a short-term signal path of the yarn tension is detected as a fault graph. In order to enable a fault diagnosis, the fault graph of the yarn tension is analyzed using a machine learning program. The fault graph is then allocated to one of the existing fault categories or to a new fault category. A device for this purpose may include a diagnosis unit, which cooperates accordingly with the yarn tension evaluation unit.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING WHITENESS AND/OR TESTING DYE AFFINITY OF FILAMENTS
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for whiteness measurement and/or staining control of filaments.
System and method for characterizing the equibiaxial compressive strength of 2D woven composites
A method and system for the characterization of equibiaxial compressive strength in 2D woven composites, such as carbon fiber reinforced laminate composites, is disclosed using induced biaxial flexure, the strain measurements from which are used to determine the equibiaxial compressive strength of the composite.
TEST METHOD FOR EVALUATING TEXTILE FABRIC PERFORMANCE
A method evaluating a strength of a textile for use in articles of clothing representative of normal wear and tear and comprising testing samples including the textile treated with an application of polyethylene, the untreated textile, and/or the textile being washed and dried one or more times; and/or where the textile has been conditioned. Each sample tested is weighed prior to and after abrasion resistance testing is conducted on each sample. The samples are each abraded with an abrasion resistance testing machine that has been modified with ISO test heads and an abrasive surface having a plurality of abrasion layers thereon. A number of rubs of abrasion between the abrasive surface and the test sample is pre-selected such that the test is run until the selected number of rubs have been completed. A bursting strength test can be further conducted on abraded areas of the testing samples.
Fibers with chemical markers used for coding
Disclosed are fibers which contain identification fibers. The identification fibers can comprise one or more chemical markers, or taggants, which may vary among the fibers or be incorporated throughout all of the fibers. The disclosure also relates to the method for making and characterizing the fibers. Characterization of the fibers can include identifying chemical markers and correlating the chemical markers and a taggant chemical marker amounts of at least one of the chemical markers to manufacturer-specific taggants to determine supply chain information. The supply chain information can be used to track the fibers from manufacturing through intermediaries, conversion to final product, and/or the consumer.

WASH CYCLE INDICATOR FOR TEXTILE GARMENTS
A textile wash cycle indicator system comprising a textile fiber or yarn or section comprising a dye system comprising at least one dye, the dye system configured to release an amount of the at least one dye during each consecutive wash cycle; wherein the release of the amount of the at least one dye correlates with the consecutive wash cycles, and a method of using same.
Apparatus and method for measuring permeation of contaminants through a complex protective material swatch
A test cell may include a base frame including a test slot; a pressure-generating insert positioned on a pedestal within the test slot; an impermeable protective layer in contact with the base frame; a sorbent layer positioned between the pressure-generating insert and the impermeable protective layer; a complex protective material swatch in contact with the sorbent layer, the complex protective material swatch having a contaminant applied thereon; a locking frame in contact with the impermeable protective layer, wherein the locking frame secures the impermeable protective layer to the base frame; a sealing gasket in contact with at least the locking frame and the complex protective material swatch; a gasket compression frame in contact with the sealing gasket; a cover in contact with the stability plate; and weights in contact with the cover. The test cell may be included in methods for measuring permeation of contaminants through complex protective material swatches.
