Coating method
A coating method for sheathing material formed from paper or card for smoking materials or parts of smoking materials in order to reduce the tendency of the sheathing material to absorb and diffuse aqueous or oily substances, the sheathing material being provided on the same side with two coatings, which are applied one on top of the other and are each applied in liquid form in two successive coating steps. In the first coating step, at least one layer of a first coating substance is applied, which reduces the ability of the paper or card to absorb the liquid volatile matrix of the second coating substance; in the second coating step, at least one layer of a second coating substance is applied, which is repellent or impermeable to one or more of the following substances: oils, fats, waxes, alcohols, and water.
Tobacco-derived cellulose material and products formed thereof
A paper material is provided herein, wherein the paper material includes a fibrous material including at least 5 dry weight percent of fibers derived from a plant of the Nicotiana species; wherein the paper material has a basis weight ranging from about 5 g/m.sup.2 to about 450 g/m.sup.2; and wherein the paper material has a caliper ranging from about 0.01 mils to about 200 mils. The paper material can be suitable for use in a smoking article in the form of at least one of a tipping material, a plug wrap and a wrapping material. The paper material can be suitable for use in at least one of a soft carton container suitable to house smoking articles, a label, a paper substrate of a barrier layer, a hard carton suitable to house smoking articles and a container suitable to house smokeless tobacco products.
CIGARETTE WRAPPER USING NANOCELLULOSE FILM
The present disclosure provides a cigarette wrapper including a nanocellulose film, a smoking article comprising the same, and a method for manufacturing the cigarette wrapper including a nanocellulose film.
Through this, there is an advantage in that it is possible to minimize the generation of paper smell and steaming smell of paper-type cigarette paper used in the past, to reduce the smoker's displeasure, and to further improve the satisfaction of smoking.
Gum for cigarette paper, cigarette paper and process for making it
A gum of vegetable origin for rolling cigarette paper including a solids content, includes a mixture of cannabinoids and edible oil, the edible oil being present in the mixture in a proportion p such that 0%p80% by weight of the compound. Since cannabinoids are soluble only in oil and the gum is intended to be brought to the mouth because it should be reactivatable by licking once coated, smoked and swallowed, oil is edible.
Cigarette Paper with High Short-Fiber Fraction
A wrapping paper for smoking articles has a basis weight of at least 10 g/m.sup.2 and at most 70 g/m.sup.2 and comprises a mixture of cellulosic pulp fibers comprising at least 90% of short-fiber cellulosic pulp fibers, based on the mass of the cellulosic pulp fibers in the cellulosic pulp mixture, or comprising at least 95% of short-fiber cellulosic pulp fibers, based on the number of cellulosic pulp fibers, with at least 10% of the short-fiber cellulosic pulp fibers being ground, based on the mass of the number of cellulosic pulp fibers of the cellulosic pulp fiber mixture, and with the wrapping paper having over more than 50% of its area, preferably at least 55% of its area and especially preferably at least 60% of its area, an air permeability of at least 30 cm.sup.3/(cm.sup.2,min-kPa), and where the wrapping paper comprises at least one burning salt.
Aerosol generating article with wrapper comprising aerosol-forming material
An aerosol generating article for use in an aerosol generating assembly, the aerosol generating article comprising a rod of aerosolizable material circumscribed by a wrapper, wherein the wrapper comprises an aerosol-forming amorphous solid.
Wrapper for non-combustible cigarette and method for manufacturing same
A method of manufacturing a wrapper for a non-combustion-type cigarette used in an aerosol generating device, according to an embodiment, includes manufacturing a reconstituted tobacco sheet by mixing a tobacco material and first pulp, and manufacturing a wrapper by mixing the reconstituted tobacco sheet and second pulp. A wrapper for a non-combustion-type cigarette used in an aerosol generating device has a tensile strength of 3.0 kgf/15 mm or greater, and includes at least one of cigar leaf powder, cigar leaf pieces, and cigar leaves.
Laser-Etched Aerosol-Generating Article Wrapper, Aerosol-Generating Articles Comprising Such, and Their Method of Manufacture
An aerosol-generating article wrapper includes at least one layer of cellulosic material having a thickness extending from a first surface to a second surface opposite the first one of at least 35 micrometers and a tensile strength of at least 25 N/15 mm. The wrapper material includes at least part of an indicium etched in the at least one layer over a determined depth less than its thickness from one of the first or second surfaces. A method of manufacturing such wrapper includes a step of etching at least part of an indicium into the wrapper by evaporating wrapper material with a laser beam according to indicium vector lines over a determined depth less than the thickness of the cellulosic material layer. An aerosol-generating article includes such wrapper around at least a portion thereof, wherein the indicium in the wrapper is arranged at an outer facing surface of the article.
Smoking article wrapper and method of making a smoking article
Smoking article wrapper and method of making a smoking article A smoking article component comprises a curved sheet wrapper of weight 40 gsm or more that includes a plurality of lines of strength discontinuity at which the wrapper presents a visually discernable non-uniformity in its curvature. The wrapper can be used for example to wrap the filter of a cigarette as a plug wrap for the filter so as to comprise a wrapper of weight 80 gsm or more.
ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE FILLER AND ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE CARTRIDGE
An electronic cigarette cartridge suitable for electronic cigarettes includes an aerosol-forming substrate having a filler enclosed by a wrapping member on one end and a mouthpiece on the other end. The filler is a sheet-like member having an aerosol former. The sheet-like member is filled so as to form an air passage in the longitudinal direction of the electronic cigarette cartridge. The sheet-like member has cuts along the longitudinal direction of the electronic cigarette cartridge.
