A method including operating a vehicle in a medium. The vehicle is subject to advection due to movement of the medium. The method also includes measuring, using a navigation system, positions of a vehicle over time. The method also includes measuring, using a directional sensor, a course-through-medium over the time. The method also includes calculating, using the positions and the course-through-medium, a variation of a speed-over-ground of the vehicle over the time as a function of the course-through-medium over the time. The method also includes concurrently estimating, using the variation, 1) an average speed-through-medium for the vehicle over the time, and 2) an advection rate of the medium, and 3) an advection direction of the medium.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING TILT OF A STRUCTURE

A sensor system includes a tilt sensor including an accelerometer configured to measure an angle of tilt of a vertical structure, and a wind sensor configured to determine at least one of wind speed or wind direction. The tilt sensor can also include a communication interface configured to transmit a sensor signal including the angle of tilt of the vertical structure, and at least one of the wind speed or the wind direction. The sensor system can also include a controller for receiving the sensor signal, and a cloud computing network that allows for various alerts to be presented to a user device.

The flow field observation module is disposed outside the chamber and captures an image of a fluid particle excited by the plasma toward the chamber. The light filter component is disposed between the high-speed camera and the chamber. The light detecting component obtains a light information within the chamber and sends the light information to the light filter component.

A water treatment system protects chlorine generator electrodes from miming dry. The system includes a water detection electrode (222) disposed above the chlorine generator electrode (223), and an outlet (12) at a height similar to the water detection electrode (222). If enough water is displaced from the housing (1) of the water treatment system by bubbles (4) generated by the energized chlorine generator, the water detection electrode (222) will cease to be bathed in water and will emit a signal indicative of this “dry” condition. The signal can be used to interrupt electrical power to the chlorine generator, thereby ensuring that the chlorine generator will not displace the water bathing it and therefore will not run dry.

During the post-transformation imaging process, a first image is generated by taking an image of the fluid by using first light in the first wavelength range in which the amount of absorption of light changes upon irradiation with transformation-inducing light.

The system further includes a first emission device that emits first near infrared light to the tip surface. In such a configuration, the behavior of the ejection liquid when the ejection liquid is ejected into the object from the ejection device can be imaged and measured by the imaging device.
