The present application relates to a welding helmet comprising a helmet housing and a head cover adapted to be worn on a wearer's head and made of an air-impermeable and flexible material, wherein a zipper arrangement is provided between the helmet housing and the head cover to detachably connect the head cover to the helmet housing around the whole perimeter of an opening of the helmet housing, and wherein after the head cover is connected to the helmet housing, the zipper arrangement is located within the housing of the welding helmet. The present application also relates to an assembly having the welding helmet.

HELMET WITH INTEGRATED SHOULDER PAD

A helmet body includes an outer shell and an energy management liner with an outer shell lower edge extending between the inner surface and the outer surface of the outer shell. At least two shoulder pad recesses are positioned at a lower edge of the outer shell on a respective left and right sides of the helmet. The energy management liner is adjacent to the inner surface of the outer shell and includes at least two shoulder pads formed of a foamed energy management material. Each of the at least two shoulder pads is received into one of the at least two shoulder pad recesses on the respective left or right side of the helmet, each shoulder pad extending from inside of the outer shell to across at least a majority of a width of the lower edge of the outer shell.

A helmet includes a shell having a head-protecting portion and two opposing cheek-protecting portions, the two cheek-protecting portions extending downward, integrally from left and right ends of the head-protecting portion, respectively, a protector having a jaw-protecting portion and a neck-protecting portion, the neck-protecting portion extending backward, integrally from a back end of the jaw-protecting portion, wherein a top edge of the neck-protecting portion of the protector connects to bottom edges of the cheek-protecting portions of the shell, and a foam liner disposed on an inner side of the shell and on an inner side of the protector to couple the shell and the protector together. The helmet further comprises a support disposed within the protector and enclosed by the foam liner.

A head protection system includes a safety helmet and a fire protection cloth. The safety helmet includes a helmet shell (105) and a holding device (108) to guarantee a distance (A) between a helmet shell inner side (106) and the user head (102). An air path (110) is formed by a plurality of openings (120) of a fastening ring (125)and the distance between the inner side of the helmet shell and the head of the user. The fastening ring is arranged at least in an area of the user forehead of the user. The fire protection cloth has a fastening strap (230) with rigid fastening elements (235) configured to mesh with an opening of the fastening ring to detachably fasten the fire protection cloth to the safety helmet. The rigid fastening elements fill the plurality of openings in the fastened state to close the air path.

Length adjustable shroud usable with helmet and earmuffs

A system for adjustably and removably attaching a shroud to a helmet. The shroud for use with a helmet has a top shroud configured to attach to the helmet; an inner shroud configured to attach to the top shroud. The inner shroud has a band configured to tighten around a user's neck and an outer shroud configured to removably attach to the top shroud. The outer shroud is further configured to cover a user's shoulders. The shroud also has one or more removable attachments, wherein the top shroud attaches to the helmet via the one or more removable attachments.

A removable chin curtain assembly selectively attachable to a helmet is disclosed. The helmet has a helmet shell, a chin strap, and a pair of fasteners connecting the chin strap portion to the helmet shell. The fasteners are made at least in part of ferromagnetic material. The removable chin curtain assembly has a chin curtain and at least one permanent magnet connected to the chin curtain. The at least one permanent magnet is adapted for selectively magnetically connecting the chin curtain to at least one of the fasteners. Alternative embodiments of a removable chin curtain assembly are also disclosed.

Individually conforming impact attenuating liner for a helmet

An impact-attenuating liner for a helmet includes a liner body made from an impact-absorbing material and a plurality of pads removably attached to an interior surface of the liner body, each of the pads being repositionable at different locations on the interior surface of the liner body. A retention system may be attached to the liner body and configured to secure the liner to the wearer's head during use. The liner may be configured to provide substantially uniform impact protection throughout the interior region of the helmet.

A protective helmet having a protective shell, a low friction layer, and a comfort liner is disclosed. The protective shell includes an energy absorbing material and an inner surface. The low friction layer is coupled to the inner surface of the protective shell. The low friction layer may be plastic having a thickness of less than approximately 3 mm. The comfort liner is removably coupled to the low friction layer opposite the protective shell, and includes a low friction material, such as brushed nylon, adjacent the low friction liner. The comfort liner may be removebly coupled protective shell with either clips that removably couple to receivers embedded in the brow of the helmet, with elastically deformable couplings that extend from the comfort liner to the protective shell, or both.
