Estimating a source location of a projectile
According to examples of the presently disclosed subject matter, there is provided a system for estimating a source location of a projectile, comprising an optics an optics subsystem, a radar subsystem and a processor. The processor is adapted to use range and velocity measurements obtained from data provided by the radar subsystem, a source direction and an event start time obtained from data provided by the optical subsystem and a predefined kinematic model for the projectile for estimating a range to a source location of the projectile.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PERSISTENT LOCATION BASED DIGITAL CONTENT
Augmented reality apparatus and methods of use are provided with persistent digital content linked to a location coordinates. More specifically, the present invention links a physical location with digital content to enable a user interface with augmented reality that combines aspects of the physical area with location specific digital content. According to the present invention, digital content remains persistent with a location even if visual aspects of the location change.

Optical sensor and optical sensor system
An optical sensor includes at least two optical sensing pixels and at least two different grating elements. These grating elements are disposed above these optical sensing pixels correspondingly.
Radiovision device
This patent concerns a compact and portable system for real-time detection and location of electromagnetic emissions in the spectrum used by mobile devices (cell phones and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth devices). The principle of detection and location is based on phased array technology, which enables the synthesis of a directional radiation beam that can be electrically controlled in terms of both its shape and direction. This technology is used primarily in military and astronomical applications. The device also includes localization and control algorithms. This device will allow for detecting and locating electromagnetic emissions by means of an antenna beam scan within a field of view of 80×80 degrees. Once the detection and location have been established, the results are overlaid to a visual image captured by a video camera.

Tracking safety conditions of an area
Methods and apparatus for electronically quantifying conditions of a person and an environment containing the person, as well as a sequence of positions occupied by the person and a direction the person faced at those positions. Wireless communications track a series of positions over time and provide user interfaces indicating where a person has been and who the person has come within a minimum distance of. In addition, sensors provide ongoing evaluation of a condition of the person, such as a body temperature and heartrate which may trigger an alarm state if the body temperature rises above a specified value. Ongoing environmental conditions may also be quantified and presented in the user interface.
Device for Converting electromagnetic Radiation into Electricity, and Related Systems and Methods
A device for converting electromagnetic radiation into electricity comprises an expander that includes a conical shape having an axis and a curved surface that is configured to reflect electromagnetic radiation away from the axis to expand a beam of the electromagnetic radiation; and one or more energy conversion components configured to receive a beam of electromagnetic radiation expanded by the expander, and to generate electricity from the expanded beam of electromagnetic radiation. With the expander's curved surface, a beam of electromagnetic radiation that is highly concentratedhas a large radiation fluxmay be converted into a beam that has a larger cross-sectional area. Moreover, one can configure, if desired, the curved surface to provide a substantially uniform distribution of radiation across the expanded cross-sectional area. With such an expanded beam the one or more energy conversion components can efficiently convert some of the electromagnetic radiation into electricity.
Modular rocket rescue system and passenger safety wearable band
A rescue system includes a wearable article, such as a wristband, which includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, a radio frequency (RF) beacon, and a power supply. One or more RFID readers (collectively, an RF network) are located on a vessel, the RFID readers being configured to communicate with the RFID tag. Should the RF network detect a passenger overboard event, a modular rocket system is deployed. The modular rocket system comprises a guidance module, the guidance module including a guidance system for guiding the modular rocket system toward a target. A flight control module is removably attached to the guidance module, said flight control module including a plurality of airfoils. A flotation module is removably attached to the flight control module, said flotation module including a flotation device. A rocket motor module removably attached to the flotation module, said rocket motor module including a rocket motor configured to propel the modular rocket system.
