The present disclosure relates to a method for determining a vehicle pose, predicting a pose (x.sub.k, y.sub.k, θ.sub.k) of vehicle on a map based on sensor data acquired by a vehicle localization system, transforming a set of map road references of a segment of a digital map from a global coordinate system to an image-frame coordinate system of a vehicle-mounted camera based on map data and predicted pose of the vehicle. The transformed set of map road references form a set of polylines in image-frame coordinate system. Identifying a set of corresponding image road reference features in an image acquired by vehicle mounted camera, where each identified road references feature defines a set of measurement coordinates (x.sub.i, y.sub.i) in image-frame. Projecting each of identified set of image road reference features onto formed set of polylines in order to obtain a set of projection points.

Example systems, devices, media, and methods are described for tracking one or more movable objects and presenting virtual elements on a display in proximity to the tracked movable objects. One or more ultra-wideband (UWB) transmitters are mounted to each movable object in a physical environment including at least two synchronized UWB receivers. The receivers calculate a current location of each movable object. A plurality of portable electronic devices, including one or more eyewear devices, are paired with the receivers in a network. A localization application determines a current location of each eyewear device. A rendering application presents one or more virtual elements on a display as an overlay relative to the current movable object location and in relative proximity to the current eyewear location. The physical environment is represented by a static mesh. A time synchronized tracking application identifies moving items that are not coupled to a UWB transmitter. The rendering application presents the virtual elements on the display in accordance with the static mesh and the moving items.

Positioning system

There is disclosed a system for locating an object on a surface waveguide. The surface waveguide is made of one or more 1D wires and/or 2D waveguides comprising conductive elements arranged in patterns. Emitters with known positions can couple with receivers coupled with the surface waveguide. The position of receivers can be determined, for example by multilateration or signal strength indication. Conductive elements can be sprayed or sewed or otherwise deposited onto surfaces such as a ground floor, a sidewalk or a road lane. Described developments comprise the use of absorbers, protective layers, unidirectional emitters, contactless coupling, and various arrangements comprising frequency-selective layers, arrangements in lattices, trellis or anisotropic surfaces. Signal processing aspects and software embodiments are also described.

In an aspect, the mobile device determines to trigger a coverage-enhanced (CE) mode before a positioning session timeout for the positioning session expires, continues performance of the positioning measurements during the positioning session with the serving cell while the mobile device remains connected to the serving cell due to the triggered CE mode, determines whether the positioning measurements have been completed or the positioning session timeout has expired, and responsive to the determination that the positioning measurements have been completed or that the positioning session timeout has expired, reports, to a network entity in the wireless communications network, actual handover measurements to enable the network entity to make a handover determination.
