COMPUTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING STAY PERIODS OF A ROAD VEHICLE
Described techniques receive location data with associated timestamps from one or more location sensors spatially associated with the vehicle. Each pair of consecutive location data defines a segment of the vehicle's trajectory. The system aggregates potential stay periods of consecutive segments into an aggregated stay interval as long as a predefined segment clustering rule is fulfilled by the consecutive segments. A potential stay of the vehicle with a potential stay period for a respective segment is detected if the time interval associated with the respective segment is longer than an expected driving time needed for driving a distance associated with the respective segment at a predefined expected speed. The potential stay period is computed for the respective segment as the difference between the associated time interval and the expected driving time. The system detects a stay of the vehicle if the aggregated stay interval reaches a predefined minimum stay period.
DISTANCE ESTIMATION DEVICE AND DISTANCE ESTIMATION SYSTEM
A distance estimation device includes a mobile terminal transmitting a radio wave and an in-vehicle device. The in-vehicle device includes a direction determination unit having a receiver, a distance measurement unit, and a correction unit. The receiver receives the radio wave and is arranged on a side of the vehicle. The direction determination unit determines a direction from which the radio wave comes based on a signal strength of the received radio wave. The distance measurement unit receives the radio wave and measures a distance from an installation position of the distance measurement unit to the mobile terminal based on information other than a signal strength of the received radio wave. The correction unit corrects the measured distance to be a distance from an edge of the vehicle to the mobile terminal based on the determined direction and the installation position.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LOCATION OF UWB MODULE INSTALLED IN VEHICLE
A diagnosis command and a display of a diagnosis result using a vehicle diagnosis device upon after-sales inspection or during the inspection (EOL) during vehicle production. Using a diagnostic function of a controller related to a digital key or a fob key (e.g., a body domain controller (BDC), an integrated body control unit (IBU), or an identity authentication unit (IAU)) and using an existing method and equipment (e.g., a vehicle diagnosis device), the position of a UWB module is detected to estimate whether the module is in an abnormal state (installation in an incorrect position, deviation from a correct position, etc.).
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING MODULE, TIRE LOCALIZATION SYSTEM AND TIRE LOCALIZATION METHOD
A tire localization method for a vehicle, can include: matching a first Bluetooth module in each tire of the vehicle with a second Bluetooth module of a Bluetooth host in the vehicle; acquiring first data representing a received signal strength indication of a first radio frequency signal sent by the first Bluetooth module in each tire; acquiring an angle of arrival of the first Bluetooth module in each tire relative to the second Bluetooth module; and locating each tire based on the first data and the angle of arrival.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ULTRA-WIDEBAND-BASED ANGLE OF APPROACH DETERMINATION
Disclosed herein are related to a system and a method for determining an Angle of Approach (AoA) of a device. A first device may receive a report from a second device having a plurality of ultra-wideband (UWB) devices. The report may include a plurality of values comprising an elevation component and an azimuth component of the AoA from the first device. At least some of the plurality of values may be obtained according to measurements between the plurality of UWB devices of the second devices and the at least one UWB device of the first device. The first device may determine an AoA from the second device, using the plurality of values from the report received from the second device.
CONTROL DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD
To estimate a positional relationship between devices having transmitted and received signals with higher accuracy.
A control device includes a control unit that compares reliability parameters that are indexes indicating a degree of whether or not a signal is appropriate as a processing target for estimating a positional relationship between each of the plurality of communication devices and the other communication device, calculated on the basis of the signals received from the other communication device by the communication device, and performs control for estimating the positional relationship on the basis of a signal transmitted and received between the communication device that has received a signal that is more appropriate as a processing target for estimating the positional relationship and the other communication device.
CONTROL DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD
A control device comprising: a control unit that applies a weight parameter based on a reliability parameter that is an index indicating a degree of whether or not a signal is appropriate as a processing target for estimating a positional relationship between the communication device and the other communication device calculated on the basis of a signal received from the other communication device by the communication device to a provisional positional relationship between at least two of the communication devices and the other communication device estimated on the basis of the signals transmitted and received between the communication device and the other communication device, and performs control for estimating the positional relationship between the communication device and the other communication device.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES NAVIGATION SYSTEM
Systems and methods for navigating a residence include a first household appliance, a second household appliance, a beacon, and a portable user interface device. The systems and methods include determining a plurality of paths through the residence. The systems and methods also include receiving, from a user interface of the portable user interface device, an input comprising a selected destination and determining a current location of the portable user interface device based on a short-range radio signal after receiving the input. The systems and methods further include selecting one path from the plurality of paths through the residence. The one selected path starts at or near the determined current location of the portable user interface device and terminates at the selected destination. The systems and methods also include providing guidance to and along the one selected path.
ANCHOR DEVICE ASSOCIATION FOR SIDELINK POSITIONING
Disclosed are techniques for performing wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify a plurality of sidelink positioning anchor devices. Based on one or more parameters associated with each of the plurality of sidelink positioning anchor devices, the wireless communication device may associate with one or more sidelink positioning anchor devices from the plurality of sidelink positioning anchor devices.
ASSET TRAVEL MONITORING WITH LINKED ASSET TRACKING DEVICES
A method for inferring a status asset information from data of a first type gathered by a first asset tracking device is provided. The method includes determining that a first asset tracking device coupled to a first asset and a second asset tracking device coupled to a second asset are travelling together, that the first asset tracking device has a first operating mode, and that the second asset tracking device has a second operating mode, which is different from the first operating mode of the first asset tracking device. In response, the second asset tracking device enters into a low-power mode in which it either does not gather data of the first type or does so at a reduced rate. Status information related to the second asset may be inferred from data of the first type gathered by the first asset tracking device.
