A quantum dot composite material, and an optical film and a backlight module using the same are provided. The quantum dot composite material includes a curable polymer and a plurality of quantum dots dispersed in the curable polymer. Based on the total weight of the curable polymer being 100%, the curable polymer includes 15 wt % to 40 wt % of monofunctional group acrylic monomer, 15 wt % to 40 wt % of multifunctional group acrylic monomer, 5 wt % to 35 wt % of mercaptan functional group monomer, 1 wt % to 5 wt % of photoinitiator, 10 wt % to 30 wt % of acrylic oligomer, and 5 wt % to 25 wt % of scattering particles.
OPTICAL FILTER
An optical filter including: a substrate; and a dielectric multilayer film laid on or above at least one major surface of the substrate as an outermost layer, in which: the dielectric multilayer film is a laminate including a low refractive index film and a plurality of high refractive index films laid on each other; the dielectric multilayer film comprises four or more high refractive index films that are 15 nm or smaller in thickness; the high refractive index films have a minimum thickness of 1.5 to 5 nm; the high refractive index films have a minimum thickness of 100 nm or smaller; the high refractive index films satisfy the following spectral characteristics (i-1) and (i-2); and the optical filter satisfies all of the following spectral characteristics (ii-1) to (ii-4).
FRONT PANEL FOR A VIDEO DISPLAY
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a front panel for a video display system. According to disclosed embodiments, a substrate is fabricated to incorporate materials having desired functional properties, such as the blocking of ultraviolet visible (UW) laser light, and near infrared light, into the substrate material. After extrusion of the substrate with desired functional properties, an anti-glare hardcoat may be spray-coated to the front and back of the front panel to provide anti-glare as well as anti-stiction properties.
System and method for a six-primary wide gamut color system
The present invention includes systems and methods for a six-primary color system for display. A six-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. The six-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.
OPTICAL FILTER SUITABLE FOR CORRECTING THE ELECTRONIC NOISE OF A SENSOR
An optical filter for an image sensor includes first opaque zones. Each of the first opaque zones occupies a surface area equal to the surface area of at least one first lens in this same first zone.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY APPARATUS
A head-up display apparatus is disclosed. The head-up display apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display panel; a stereoscopic image filter; and a mirror. The display panel includes a first region in which a first image is displayed and a second region in which a second image is displayed, and the stereoscopic image filter is configured to convert the first image into a stereoscopic image. In an embodiment of the present invention, the first image displayed on the display panel is warped and displayed, thereby preventing distortion of the stereoscopic image when projected on a windshield.
ULTRAVIOLET-C RADIATION-PROTECTIVE FILMS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiation shielding films including a substrate made of a fluoropolymer, a multilayer optical film disposed on a major surface of the substrate, and a heat-sealable encapsulant layer disposed on a major surface of the multilayer optical film opposite the substrate. The multilayer optical film is made of at least a multiplicity of alternating first and second optical layers collectively reflecting at an incident light angle of at least one of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, or 75°, at least 30 percent of incident ultraviolet light over at least a 30-nanometer wavelength reflection bandwidth in a wavelength range from at least 100 nanometers to 280 nanometers. The ultraviolet light shielding film may be applied to a major surface of a photovoltaic device, such as a component of a satellite or an unmanned aerial vehicle. Methods of making the UV-C radiation-protective films also are disclosed.
Projector
A projector includes a monochromatic self-luminous display panel; a color filter disposed in front of the monochromatic self-luminous display panel; a filter driver configured to move the color filter in direction parallel to the monochromatic self-luminous display panel; a micro lens array disposed in front of or behind the color filter and configured to convert light emitted from the monochromatic self-luminous display panel into parallel light; a projection lens disposed in front of the micro lens array and the color filter and configured to project light that has passed through the micro lens array and the color filter onto a screen; and a processor configured to control the monochromatic self-luminous display panel and the filter driver.
