Device and method of constructing shoes
Provided is a shoe or device for inserting into a shoe, having a shallow channel on a top side of a contoured insole or shoe, specifically under the 1.sup.st metatarsal shaft of the wearer. The shoe also has a rear region or heel cup positioned to underlying a wearer's calcaneal tuberosity, the rear region being shaped to accommodate a planer surface of the wearer's calcaneal tuberosity, an upper surface of said rear region having a raised portion underlying an area of the wearer's calcaneus immediately forward of the wearer's calcaneus tuberosity.
Footwear sole
A footwear sole includes an outsole assembly having a heel outsole, a forefoot outsole spaced axially apart from the heel outsole by an arch gap, and a sidewall extending between the heel outsole and the forefoot outsole. The sidewall has an elevated bottom edge extending axially along the arch gap on each of a medial and lateral side of the outsole assembly. The footwear sole further includes a support frame in the outsole assembly. The frame has an arch support surface extending axially along the arch gap at an elevation below at least a portion of each bottom edge. The footwear sole further includes a cushioning midsole in the outsole assembly and extending along the arch gap atop the arch support surface.
Functional orthotic support structure for footwear
An orthotic support structure or shell may be used with footwear intrinsically or as a removable and transferable device. The footwear may be a sandal assembly including a sole, a strap and an orthotic shell. The strap is attached to the sole and configured to secure the sole against the foot. The orthotic shell is positioned within the sole and formed from a semi-rigid material. The orthotic shell includes a heel portion configured to support a heel region of the foot, and a midfoot portion connected to the heel portion and configured to support an arch region of the foot, the midfoot portion comprising an arched shank having a curved convex shape. The arched shank is configured to deflect under a downward force applied thereon which reactively rotates the heel portion toward the heel region of the foot.
CUSTOMIZABLE FOOTWEAR INSOLES
Insole apparatus for use in footwear is provided, comprising a planar insole base positionable on top of a base interior surface of the footwear, and at least one attachment accessory removably attachable to the insole base by way of a plurality of attachment elements distributed on at least one of an upper surface of the insole base and a lower surface of the attachment accessory. The plurality of attachment elements define attachment points, which are arranged with a predefined consistent spacing to enable interchangeability of the attachment accessory with other attachment accessories having similarly arranged attachment points. The interchangeability and removability of attachment accessories allows for customization of the insole apparatus for a user's needs and size and shape of foot.
FOOT DIFFERENTIATION SCORING
Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable medium for foot differentiation scoring pertaining to an individual's differences in their two feet. A method includes receiving, from sensors of a scanning device, pressure and/or other measurement data corresponding to feet of a user. The method further includes preprocessing the pressure and/or measurement data. The method further includes generating, based on the preprocessed pressure and/or measurement data, a foot differentiation score based on differences between a left foot and a right foot of the user. The foot differentiation score may assign or correspond to a numerical rating based on how different the user's left foot and right foot are from each other.
Article of footwear with lightweight sole assembly
A sole assembly for an article of footwear has a first portion having a lower ground engaging surface, an upper surface, and a recess formed in the upper surface. A second portion is seated in the recess in the first portion and has an upper surface. The second portion is formed from a first foam material prepared by a reaction product of a composition having about 10 to about 100 phr of a hydrogenated copolymer and about 10 to about 90 phr of a copolymer of ethlylene and an alpha olefin, the alpha olefin having up to 20 carbon atoms. The first foam material has a hardness of 25 to 45 Asker C and a density of less than 0.18 g/cm3.
AIRBAG FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
A sole structure for an article of footwear having a heel region, a mid-foot region, a forefoot region, an interior region, and a peripheral region. The sole structure including a bladder having a chamber including an arcuate segment extending around the heel region, a first segment extending along the peripheral region on a medial side of the sole structure from the arcuate segment to a first terminal end in the forefoot region, and a second segment spaced apart from the first segment across a width of the sole structure and extending along the peripheral region on a lateral side of the sole structure from the arcuate segment to a second terminal end in the forefoot region. A peripheral outsole extends along the chamber and a first cushion is disposed between the first segment and the second segment and is exposed through an opening of the peripheral outsole.
Sole Structure and Shoe with the Sole Structure
A sole structure includes a plate placed between an outsole and a midsole and disposed at the position corresponding to at least the forefoot and the midfoot of a wearer's foot, and a cushioning body disposed so as to face the sole of the wearer's foot at the position corresponding to the midfoot and the hindfoot of the wearer's foot and capable of absorbing a vertical impact on the upper surface of the cushioning body. The cushioning body and the plate body overlap each other in the vertical direction at the position corresponding to the midfoot of the wearer's foot.
FOOTWEAR SOLE
Sole for footwear that includes configurations that improve the cushioning in a user's tread with respect to known soles, comprising a lower layer and a side wall, the lower layer comprising a front part, a middle part and a rear part; in at least one portion of the front or rear part of the lower layer there are at least two protrusions, each arranged and extended transversely to the longitudinal axis of the sole and each of them comprising a first segment in contact with the lower tread and a second segment; between the side ends of each protrusion and the side wall there is a first separation that allows the full bending of each protrusion, the second segment being inclined with respect to the first segment; between two adjacent protrusions there is a second separation so that the second segment rests at least partly on the adjacent protrusion.
