20230046685 · 2023-02-16 ·

An article of footwear includes a sleeve formed by a knit material and defining a front distal end and a rear distal end. The sleeve includes an external surface and an internal surface that defines an internal cavity. The article of footwear includes a midsole arranged within the internal cavity, and a framework printed, layer by layer, onto portions of the external surface. The framework includes a plurality of segments and an outsole. The outsole being arranged on a bottom portion of the external surface and the plurality of segments extend along the external surface of the sleeve between the front distal end and the rear distal end.

Footwear with mesh sole construction

A footwear construction includes a midsole including a lateral sidewall and a medial sidewall, and a mesh substrate layer covering the lateral sidewall and medial sidewall to protect the surfaces of those sidewalls from abrasion, wear and damage, and in some cases to provide tuned stiffness to the sidewalls and thus the midsole. The mesh substrate layer can wrap partially above and below the midsole so that edges of the layer can be conceals between the midsole and an upper, or between the midsole and an outsole layer. The mesh substrate can include a mesh material and a film sheet bonded to one another, with the film sheet facing the midsole and the mesh textile facing outward in the finished footwear. A related method of manufacture also is provided.

Presented are footwear sole structures with foot-cushioning insoles movably mounted onto impact-attenuating midsoles, methods for making/using such sole structures, and footwear fabricated with such sole structures. A multilayered sole structure assembly includes an insole movably mounted on a midsole. The midsole is formed with a first compressible material and includes opposing upper and lower midsole surfaces, multiple protrusions projecting from the upper midsole surface, and multiple pockets recessed into the upper midsole surface and interleaved with the midsole protrusions. The insole, which is formed with a second compressible material distinct from the first compressible material, includes opposing upper and lower insole surfaces, multiple protrusions projecting from the lower insole surface and interleaved with the midsole protrusions, and multiple pockets recessed into the lower insole surface and interleaved with the insole protrusions. Each midsole protrusion nests within a respective insole pocket, while each insole protrusion nests within a respective midsole pocket.

MIDSOLE HAVING A CLEAR FREE SPACE

A shoe sole (1) comprising a stability support plate (3) and a soft elastic midsole (2) having a forefoot area (VFB), a midfoot area (MFB) and a heel area (FB) is disclosed. The stability support plate is peripherally surrounded by the midsole and the midsole (2) has a clear space (21) open to the bottom side (U) of the midsole (2), which is peripherally surrounded substantially completely by the midsole (2) and is delimited by the stability support plate (3). The clear space (21) extends from the heel area (FB) over the midfoot area (MFB) into the forefoot area (VFB) of the midsole (2).

MULTI-LAYERED FILMS FOR USE IN AIRBAGS AND FOOTWEAR

Airsoles or bladders for articles of footwear comprising multi-layered films are provided herein. In one aspect, the airsoles or bladders comprise a first sheet and a second sheet, wherein a first side of the first sheet faces a second side of the second sheet, wherein the first sheet and the second sheet are bonded together to form an internal cavity in a space between the first side of the first sheet and the second side of the second sheet, forming a bladder capable of retaining a gas in the internal cavity at a pressure above atmospheric pressure, at atmospheric pressure, or below atmospheric pressure; and wherein each of the first sheet and the second sheet comprise a multi-layered film comprising: a core region comprising at least 20 gas-barrier layers and a plurality of elastomeric layers, wherein the gas-barrier layers alternate with the elastomeric layers.

Footwear midsole with anisotropic mesh and methods of making the same

Soles for articles of footwear including a mechanically anisotropic three-dimensional mesh. The mechanically anisotropic three-dimensional mesh can include one or more mechanically anisotropic regions with a first lattice shear modulus measured in a first direction and a second lattice shear modulus measured in a second direction opposite to or orthogonal to the first direction. The first and second lattice shear moduli are different to provide the three-dimensional mesh with mechanically anisotropic properties. The mechanically anisotropic three-dimensional mesh can be three-dimensionally printed.
