In the system, a plurality of processing machines, each configured to perform one or more process steps in a workflow, includes a controller, a variable operating parameter controlled by the controller, and a reader configured to read machine-readable indicia on the flexo plate. The machine-readable indicia (e.g. bar code, RFID tag, text) is configured for persistent readability downstream of washing (and cutting) steps, without printing in the printing step. The indicia may embody information including at least a plate identifier and instructions corresponding to the at least one variable operating parameter for each of the processing machines or information corresponding to an address in computer storage where the information resides.

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a chemical replacement system and a method to automatically replace PR bottles. The chemical replacement system includes a computer system and a transfer module. The computer system can receive a request signal to replace one or more chemical containers and transmit a command to the transfer module. The transfer module, being controlled by the computer system, can include a holder configured to hold the one or more chemical containers (e.g., PR bottles); a door unit configured to open in response to the command; and a transfer unit configured to eject the holder in response to the command for replacement. The chemical replacement system can further include an automated vehicle configured to replace the one or more chemical containers in the ejected holder.

A nanostructured metal film or metal-film coated support obtained by the process and a method for generating a color image are also provided.
