Optical scanning device, image forming apparatus, and method for selecting component
An optical scanning device includes: a light source; a light source driver that provides the light source with a drive current, on which a bias current that fluctuates according to temperature change is superimposed, for emitting light from the light source; and a bias current adjuster that provides the light source driver with a bias control signal for adjusting a magnitude of the bias current, wherein the bias current adjuster includes a current value adjusting member that is capable of changing the magnitude of the bias control signal according to temperature change, and wherein the bias control signal that has automatically changed according to temperature change of the current value adjusting member is provided to the light source driver, so that the light source driver makes the magnitude of the bias current to be superimposed fluctuate, based on the provided bias control signal.
OPTICAL PRINT HEAD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A substrate on which a plurality of light emitting elements is mounted; a lens configured to condense light emitted from the light emitting elements on a photoreceptor; a holding member configured to hold the substrate and the lens; and an attachment portion configured to be provided on the holding member, provided outside an end portion of the substrate in a longitudinal direction of the substrate, and provided with a moving mechanism that moves the holding member to an exposure position at which the photoreceptor is exposed and a separation position at which the holding member is separated from the photoreceptor with respect to the exposure position are included, in which a wall portion is provided between the end portion of the substrate and the attachment portion in the longitudinal direction, and a sealing material is applied so as to be in contact with the substrate and the wall portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a transfer member, an acquiring portion, an applying portion, and a controller. When a transfer voltage is subjected to constant-voltage control so that the transfer voltage applied to the transfer member by the applying portion is substantially constant, in a case that the transfer voltage when a toner amount used for a toner image is a first toner amount is a first voltage, the controller controls the applying portion so that the transfer voltage is a second voltage smaller in absolute value than the first voltage in a case that the toner amount is a second toner amount larger than the first toner amount. The acquiring portion acquires toner amount information on the toner amount for each toner image transferred onto a single recording material.
Cleaning transparent member provided on image forming apparatus to reduce foreign matter
A movement member that causes a cleaning member to move so as to reciprocally move on a transparent member is provided. A cleaning process is performed in accordance with an instruction on a number of times of movement of the movement member.

Universal post-mounted retroreflector
An improved mount assembly for an optical structure, is provided. The mount assembly for the optical structure, comprising an optical structure comprising at least one mirror panel, the mirror panel comprising a reflective surface, a back surface substantially opposite the reflective surface and at least one side surface extending between the reflective and back surfaces, at least one mounting member extending from the optical structure, a housing for receipt therein of at least a portion of the optical structure and all of the mounting member extending from the optical structure, the housing having at least one opening therethrough, and at least one screw received and tightened within the at least one opening such that a first end of the screw presses against and at least partially secures the mounting member within the housing. A method for assembling the same is also provided.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a belt component, a first detachable unit that faces the belt component in an area where an outer surface of the belt component faces upward, a first housing component that houses the first detachable unit and is drawable from and loadable into the apparatus, a second detachable unit that faces the belt component in an area where the outer surface of the belt component faces downward, and a second housing component that houses the second detachable unit and is drawable from and loadable into the apparatus. With the first housing component being drawn from the apparatus, the first detachable unit is detachable from and attachable to the first housing component in a side-to-side direction. With the second housing component being drawn from the apparatus, the second detachable unit is detachable from and attachable to the second housing component in an upward direction.
POLYGON MIRROR, OPTICAL DEFLECTOR, OPTICAL SCANNING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A polygon mirror includes a resin member, a first surface, a second surface facing the first surface, an inner surface joining the first and second surfaces to surround a through hole extending from the first to the second surface, and includes outer surfaces joining the first and second surfaces. A first segment between the first surface and the outer surfaces is defined as a first reference of a height in a direction from a second segment between the second surface and the outer surfaces to the first segment. The first surface includes a projection that forms the inner surface and projects from the first reference toward a side opposite to the second surface. The second segment is defined as a second reference of the height in the direction. The second surface includes a depressed portion distant from the outer surfaces and depressed from the second reference toward the first surface.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member that is rotatable, a substrate, a lens array, a holder, and a conductive member provided on the holder. The substrate includes a plurality of light-emitting elements, a driver integrated circuit (IC), and a wiring pattern. The plurality of light-emitting elements is arrayed in a rotational axis direction of the photosensitive member to emit light to which a surface of the photosensitive member is exposed. The driver IC drives the plurality of light-emitting elements. The wiring pattern includes a supply line that supplies power to the driver IC and a ground wire that grounds the driver IC. The lens array collects the light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting elements on the photosensitive member. The holder holds the substrate and the lens array, is grounded, and is made of metal. The conductive member electrically connects the holder and the ground wire.
