AUGMENTED REALITY HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE TESTING
20230064632 · 2023-03-02 ·

An industrial virtual reality (VR) system includes visualization processing capabilities that allow an augmented reality (AR) human-machine interface (HMI) application to be tested within a virtual representation of the plant environment. This approach can yield an interactable AR HMI that simulates, within the VR environment, what a wearer of an AR appliance will see while traversing the physical plant. In this way, proper operation of the AR HMI can be verified prior to commissioning of the physical system. This can include ensuring that graphics are tied to the correct data points, confirming correct and non-obtrusive locations of graphics within the user's field of view.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FORECASTING BUILDING POWER CONSUMPTION

Power consumption forecasting plays a key role in the efficient operation of a building energy management system to assess energy demands of building, and at the same time, help electrical utilities in planning their supply operations. However, no state-of-the-arts are available for forecasting medium-term or long-term power consumption of the buildings. This disclosure relates to a method and system for forecasting a power consumption of buildings for a scalable forecast horizon. The system is configured to pre-process to deal with outliers/missing values, followed by synchronization of smart meter data with other sensory data. An energy-temperature correlation is calculated to estimate an energy drift using historical power consumptions. Further, in feature derivation stage, additional features necessary for the forecast are derived. The system is to be employed for modeling the building load consumption that depends on the time horizon of forecasting and the granularity of the data.

Users may try-on the fitted eyeglass frames in real time using augmented reality and efficiently manufacture the eyeglass frames using 3D printing.

DIGITAL TWIN GENERATION AND LOGGING FOR A VEHICLE

The present disclosure generates a digital twin of the interior of a vehicle to initiate and track maintenance issues. In one aspect, the digital twin is formed using multiple captured images of the interior of the vehicle where multiple components in those images are identified using a machine learning (ML) model. The components identified by the ML model are then mapped to a model (e.g., a 3D model) of the components that lists their location in the vehicle and an identifier (e.g., a part number or serial number). In this manner, the digital twin can identify, using the identifiers, the various components in the images captured by a camera.
