CURVED SLIDE FASTENERS AND RELATED SYSTEMS
Woven and knit substrates having juxtaposed notches with finished edges are disclosed. Such substrates can be used as opposed fastener tapes and fastener elements can be formed, woven, or otherwise added to the opposed fastener tapes in a known fashion. The notched fastener tapes permit the resulting slide fastener to be curved in-plane without buckling either of the opposed the fastener tapes out-of-plane. The finished edges maintain structural integrity of the woven or knit substrates, in stark context to prior art substrates having cut notches. Also disclosed are panelized substrates having curved apertures and incorporating disclosed slide fasteners.
TAPE FOR SLIDE FASTENER AND SLIDE FASTENER
A tape for a slide fastener includes warps and wefts. A yarn count of warps among yarns forming the fastener tape is set to 22-28 dTex. A weave density of the warps is set to 205-231 yarns/inch. A yarn count of wefts among the yarns forming the fastener tape is set to 81-87 dTex. A weave density of the wefts is set to 42-48 yarns/inch. The weft is a multifilament formed by bundling 33-39 monofilaments. According to one embodiment, the yarn count of the warps is set to 25 dTex, the weave density of the warps is set to 210-226 yarns/inch, the yarn count of the weft is set to 84 dTex, the weave density of the wefts is set to 43-46 yarns/inch, and the weft is a multifilament formed by bundling 36 monofilaments.
Slide fastener stringer and method for fabrication thereof
There is provided a slide fastener stringer. A substrate tape includes a first main side having a rough surface structure perceptible to the eye and/or the touch and a second main side opposite to the first main side. A gripping member is affixed to a longitudinal edge of the first main side of the substrate tape. A cover sheet is made of an artificial flexible material and has a 5 top surface provided with a predetermined design and a bottom layer made of a thermoformable material having a predetermined thickness. The bottom layer is attached to the second main side of the substrate tape such that the surface structure of the second main side of the substrate tape is not perceivable through the cover sheet.
Stringers without fastener tape and article with slide fastener
Stringers without fastener tape have continuous fastener elements and have element fixing members wherein the fastener elements are sewn together by a sewing thread. The element fixing members are inserted between upper and lower leg sections of the fastener elements. The sewing thread comes in contact with and straddles the upper and lower leg sections of each fastener element and pierces the element fixing members between the fastener elements. As a result of such stringers without fastener tape, the fastener elements can be held and the weight and cost of an article with a slide fastener can be reduced.

SLIDE FASTENER TAPE WITH MOLDED ZIPPER TEETH AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
A molded-teeth slide fastener tape for use in a slide fastener assembly includes a woven portion and a plurality of resin-based teeth. The woven portion includes a cord arranged along an edge thereof and a plurality of spaced-apart perforations, disposed adjacent to the cord, which pass completely through the woven portion. Each of the plurality of resin-based teeth is integrally molded to the woven portion along the cord. Each molded tooth encompasses at least a portion of at least one of the spaced-apart perforations so that each molded tooth extends through the at least one of the spaced-apart perforations and fully around a cross-sectional shape of the cord.
Fastener Stringer and Slide Fastener
A plurality of warp threads includes total N adjacent tightening threads each repeats crossing over N second legs at a side of the first tape-surface and crossing over the weft thread at a side of the second tape-surface so as to tighten the coil-shaped element to the weft thread. Said N indicates a natural number equal to or greater than 2. Each tightening thread includes an exposed portion that crosses over the weft thread and is exposed at a side of the second tape-surface. As the N adjacent tightening threads extend, the respective exposed portions of the tightening threads appear at a side of the second tape-surface one-by-one alternately or one-by-one sequentially.
Fastener element, fastener stringer and slide fastener
A fastener element has a central land portion and first and second bulging portions bulging from the central land portion toward the tape front surface side and the tape rear surface side in the element thickness direction. The first and second bulging portions respectively have a bulging end surface facing to the element thickness direction. The bulging end surface has a quadrilateral base end surface which is long in the element length direction and a tapered protrusion end surface protruding from the base end surface in the element width direction. Thus, it is possible to make the fastener element look like a single-sided metal element and to make a slide fastener which is formed by using the fastener elements lighter than a conventional slide fastener having single-sided metal elements.
Airtight and waterproof slide fastener woven from nylon
The present invention provides a novel airtight and waterproof slide fastener woven from nylon, comprising a fastener tape and a fastener element. The nylon fastener element is woven on a tape made of high-strength polyester threads. A thermoplastic polyurethane eslatormer (TPU) layer is formed on the fastener tape on the back of the slide fastener. The TPU layer is permeated into gaps on the fastener tape and into gaps on the fastener element, and the TPU layer on the back of the fastener element has a thickness greater than that of the TPU layer at the location of the fastener tape to form a first TPU ridge. The first TPU ridge is cut from the middle. The surface of the first TPU ridge is heated and then squeezed to form a second TPU ridge.
SLIDE FASTENER
A slide fastener has a pair of stringer tapes and coupling members each fastened to the stringer tapes in a row. The rows of coupling members lie opposite one another and connect the two stringer tapes to one another in an interlocking manner. Each stringer tape is formed from two stringer tape portions, the coupling members each rest against a first stringer tape portion, and a second stringer tape portion is arranged on the side of the first stringer tape portion facing away from the coupling members. The first stringer tape portion and second stringer tape portion of stringer tapes are bent and connected to each other at a stringer tape region. A slider is designed such that a movement of the slider in a first direction connects the coupling members of the stringer tapes in an interlocking manner and releases them in an opposite direction.
