ANTENNA APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus includes a ground plate having an opening, a ground layer on a first side of the ground plate, an antenna on the first side of the ground plate and connected to the ground layer, the antenna being disposed around the opening, and a conductive member on the first side of the ground plate to contact an outer perimeter of the opening. The conductive member is electrically connected to the ground layer.
Device and method for facilitating recycling
The present disclosure includes a device for recycling a payment card, which can include a payment card receiver for receiving a payment card that has a substrate and an information-saving component, an image capture device configured to identify a location of the information-saving component on the substrate, a separating device configured to remove the information-saving component from the substrate, and a storage portion configured receive the substrate and the information-saving component.
COMBINED READING APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING PRODUCT
Disclosed herein is a combined reading apparatus for identifying a product. According to a first aspect of the present invention, a combined reading apparatus may include: a plate panel configured to recognize Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag information, configured such that an antenna adapted to transmit and receive a Radio Frequency (RF) signal to and from an RFID tag is included therein, and formed in a plate shape having predetermined lengths in a horizontal direction and a height direction; a connection bar coupled to one side of the plate panel, configured to support the plate panel, and configured to extend from the plate panel in the horizontal direction; a grip formed in a bar shape so as to be held by a hand, spaced apart from the plate panel, and coupled to the connection bar; and a control unit configured to control the RF transmission and reception of the antenna.
Method and device for reading RFID/UHF label based on audio interface
A method and a device for reading RFID/UHF label based on an audio interface are disclosed. According to the method, a built-in software module in an electronic device converts a first digital signal into an analog signal capable of being transmitted via the audio interface; the analog signal received by the audio interface is converted into a second digital signal via an audio communication circuit; then the RFID/UHF controller for digital signal control reads information from the RFID/UHF label; the RFID/UHF controller modulates and sends signals of a plurality of different frequency points, and the signal of every frequency point forms a signal channel. Compared with the prior art, the present invention can keep long-distance communication between the electronic device and a plurality of labels.
Single space parking meter and removable single space parking meter mechanism
A parking meter mechanism is described that may include a front housing, having a display opening for viewing a display through, connected to an internal structure. Additionally or alternatively the parking meter mechanism may include a contactless payment reader located behind the display. The parking meter mechanism may be secured to a lower housing. A back housing may be secured to the lower housing as well. The front or back housing may include a solar panel compartment and solar panel mounted therein.
CARD READER
A card reader may include a card passage; a shutter member to close the card passage; a magnetic head on a rear side of the shutter member reads or records data in a magnetic strip of a card; an electrostatic capacitance sensor on the rear side or the shutter member; a first guide member which structures at least a part of a face on a first direction side of the card passage when one side in a thickness direction of the card passing the card passage is referred to as a first direction; and a second guide member which structures at least a part of a face on a second direction side of the card passage. The first guide member may include insulating material and the second guide member may include conductive material. The electrostatic capacitance sensor may be attached to the first guide member.
METHOD FOR CREATING CERAMIC-CONTAINING TRANSACTION CARDS
A transaction card includes a card body that may comprise a card body comprising a ceramic material, the card body including a primary surface and a first mating surface. A card backer comprises a metallic material and includes a secondary surface and a second mating surface. A portion of the first mating surface and a portion of the second mating surface are coupled together.
Barcode-reading system
This patent specification describes a barcode-reading enhancement accessory for a mobile device having a barcode-reading capability. The accessory may include an outer case and an inner carriage. A mobile device is encased in the inner carriage, and the combination of the inner carriage and the mobile device may be accommodated in the outer case. The inner carriage is configured to accommodate a mobile device of a particular size such that a mobile device of a different size may be accommodated in the outer case using a different inner carriage. The accessory may also include an optic system to fold an optical path of a field of illumination of a light source of the mobile device and/or a field of view of a camera of the mobile device.
MARINE-ENVIRONMENT, EMERGENCY-EGRESS SYSTEM AND METHOD
Emergency egress systems carry multiple riders simultaneously accessing a zip line (catenary) from higher, accessible, working locations to lower, safer areas in a marine environment. Hangers above the track line suspend trolleys to avoid weighting the catenary unduly at the high end, which might otherwise alter (reduce) clearance distances and safety of riders above a launch platform (deck). Catenary shape is controlled against approaching the launch deck by sequencing the release from the hangers of each trolley to roll along the catenary with its own rider. Track line systems installed may be left undeployed indefinitely. Deployment of a track line will typically be fully effected at the time of egress, adding time but eliminating permanent obstructions that would result if a permanent deployment of track lines were undertaken. Terminal ends are anchored and configured to accommodate workers arriving after escape.
CARD READER
A card reader includes a card reader main body, a board which is fixed to the card reader main body, a light emitting element which is disposed on a surface of the board, a cover member which is made of light transmissive material and covers the board from an opposite side to the card reader main body, and a code imaging part which images a one-dimensional code or a two-dimensional code. The cover member is formed with a card insertion port, and the code imaging part is held by the cover member and is disposed at a position adjacent to the card insertion port in a longitudinal direction of the card insertion port.
