A computer implemented networking system and method for content-creating, sharing, and archiving, includes maintaining profiles for a plurality of users each having an account that stores and displays user-authored content posts that are quality controlled, and generating, for each user profile, a virtual structure (e.g. building or house) displayed via a UI, and including a main room and a plurality of sub-rooms each being associated with a respective category, and wherein the main room provides navigation to the sub-rooms. The approach includes generating the user-authored content posts for each of the users via posting templates that prompt a user to input and organize various content based upon the template guidance for the respective category to control the quality of the user-authored content posts. A prompting tool operates within the virtual building for each profile by displaying prompts within each of the sub-rooms and related to the respective category and includes a prioritized list of user tasks.

Examples are directed to a manner in which users are admitted and/or removed from online social groups. In an example, a computer implemented method includes registering a plurality of users for an application associated with a plurality of online social groups, each online social group having corresponding criteria and a location based filter to join the group. The method further includes maintaining one or more tags of each user, and maintaining and tracking a location parameter of each user. The method further includes matching a first user to a first online social group, based on one or more corresponding tags and the location parameter of the first user satisfying the one or more criteria and the location based filter, respectively, of the first online social group. Based on matching the first user to the first online social group, the first user is admitted to the first online social group.

Processor(s) of a client device can: analyze one or more features of an electronic resource that is under consideration for solicitation to a user; determine a notification likelihood that the user will access the electronic resource in response to an unsolicited notification of the electronic resource being output to the user; determine a baseline likelihood that the user will access the electronic resource without being solicited; compare the notification likelihood with the baseline likelihood; and cause, based on the comparing, the unsolicited notification to be output to the user. In some implementations, determining the notification likelihood and/or the baseline likelihood is based on applying data associated with the electronic resource as input across a machine learning model to generate output indicative of the notification likelihood and/or the baseline likelihood. In other implementations, determining the notification likelihood and/or the baseline likelihood is based on past behavior or preference(s) of the user.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine a content item being posted to a social networking system. A selection of an option to obfuscate at least one portion of the content item can be determined. The at least one portion of the content item can be obfuscated.

An online system predicts whether a location will experience a threshold increase in traffic over the location's historical average amount of traffic. To predict a future deviation over historical traffic, the online system identifies events within a threshold distance of the location and determines an average number of indications that users will attend events within a threshold radius of the location during a prior time interval. The online system determines a total number of indications that users will attend future events within the threshold distance of the location, disregarding locations associated with less than a threshold number of future events and future events for which the online system received less than a threshold number of indications that users will attend, and determines a ratio of the total number of indications to the average number of indications that users will attend received for the prior events during the time interval.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments for detecting a navigation application operating on a first communication device, and identifying a location of the first communication device. Further embodiments can include obtaining a first advertisement and a second advertisement according to the location of the first communication device as well as determining a first priority associated with the first advertisement and a second priority associated with the second advertisement. Additional embodiments can include determining the first priority is higher than the second priority resulting in a determination to present the first advertisement prior to the second advertisement, and providing the first advertisement, the second advertisement, and the determination to the first communication device. The first communication device presents the first advertisement within navigation content utilizing the navigation application prior to presenting the second advertisement within the navigation content based on the determination. Methods and systems for assembling remote workers in an online corporate environment are provided. The method includes a use of the system to filter a subpopulation from a population stored in a database, the population including members in the self-paced, online environment. The subpopulation can be selected to meet a first set of criteria for a grouping of members for a group interaction. Additional criteria can be added to provide control over the selection of members for the subpopulation and, thus, control over the design of groups to provide a desired group profile for the group interaction. The methods and systems provided can align and group members of the self-paced, online environment for a group interaction, as well as electronically proctor and otherwise monitor and control the interaction.

In implementations of multi-item influence maximization, a computing device can obtain updates to a user association graph that indicates social correspondence between users, and obtain updates to a user-item graph that indicates user correspondence with one or more items. The computing device includes an influence maximization module that can update an item association graph that indicates item correspondence of each item with one or more other items, where the item association graph can be updated based on the user-item graph that indicates the user correspondence with one or more of the items. The influence maximization module can then iteratively determine a resource allocation for each of the users to maximize user influence of multiple items that are associated in the item association graph and based on the social correspondence between the users, as well as assign a variable portion of the resource allocation to any number of the users.

Systems and methods for color selection are provided and include a web server configured to communication computer executable instructions to a mobile device that configure the mobile device to access a social media platform, retrieve a plurality of images from the social media platform, determine a dominant color for each image of the plurality of images using different sample rates for different pixel groups based on how close each pixel group is to the center of the image, determine a closest matching paint color for the dominant color for each image, and display at least one of a color name and a color code associated with the closest matching paint color for the dominant color for each image.

A system and method tier tracking competitive driving on a driving circuit provides a unique driving experience for multiple drivers that allows a driving circuit, drivers and their vehicles, and driver statistics to be tracked, recorded, and displayed on a shared network. In some embodiments, the system and method provide a software application that enables multiple drivers to simultaneously drive on the same driving circuit, and on the same network. The driving circuit is a real public roadway that is digitally displayed, along with the position of each driver. The driving circuit is defined by a starting point and an ending point, and the position of the drivers is also visible on the driving circuit. Further, multiple driver statistics are recorded and displayed on the network for all to see.
