SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HOSPITAL ASSET LOGISTICS OPTIMIZATION
A system (10) for hospital asset logistics optimization includes a real-time locating service (RTLS) (18) configured to perform tracking of current locations of hospital personnel and items of medical equipment, wherein the tracking is referenced to a hospital map. At least one electronic processor (16) is programmed to: identify and/or receive identification of items of medical equipment to be transported and destinations for the respective items of medical equipment to be transported; associate the items of medical equipment to be transported with individuals from amongst the hospital personnel based on the current locations of the items of medical equipment to be transported and the current locations of the associated individuals; and transmit transport requests to associated mobile devices (52) of the associated individuals wherein each transport request identifies at least the item of equipment to be transported that is associated with the individual and its destination.
MAPPING RETAIL OFFERS
A computer-implemented method includes providing at least one user interface to allow a user to select an offer through a computer network, the offer being applicable to more than one product. A request to display a map of a retail store is received and in response the map of the retail store is displayed. The displayed map includes a plurality of symbols for a single offer, each symbol showing the location of a different product in the retail store that the offer is applicable to.
Presenting context-based guidance using electronic signs
Computer-implemented functionality is described herein for assisting a user in interacting with an environment. In one implementation, the functionality operates by: determining that a particular user is within a prescribed proximity to an electronic sign, or will be in prescribed proximity to the electronic sign, based on sensor information provided by one or more sensors within the environment; determining an identity of the user; determining at least one destination of the user based at least on calendar information; providing directions to the destination(s), to provide unfiltered direction information; optionally filtering the unfiltered direction information with respect to restriction information (e.g., privacy information, security information, etc.), to produce filtered direction information; composing sign information based on the filtered direction information; and sending the sign information to the electronic sign for presentation by the sign.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIA RELATED TO CONCURRENT PRESENTATION OF RETAIL FACILITY MAPS
Techniques related to concurrent presentation of retail facility maps are disclosed. The techniques involve acquiring tracking data relating to a location of a mobile device in a retail facility and acquiring, using for a search engine module, map data relating to a layout of the retail facility. A first map based on the map data is presented on a display of the mobile device. The first map comprises an entirety of the layout. A second map based on the map data and tracking data is concurrently presented on the display of the mobile device. The second map comprises a zoomed-in portion of the layout that is proximate to the location of the mobile device.
VISIT ASSISTANCE DEVICE, VISIT ASSISTANCE SYSTEM, VISIT ASSISTANCE METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM HAVING PROGRAM STORED THEREIN
A visit assistance device, a visit assistance system, a visit assistance method, and a program are provided that can assist realization of an efficient visit. A visit assistance device (1) includes a visit destination acquisition unit (2) configured to acquire a visit destination user of a visitor who arrives at an entrance of a predetermined space, an image acquisition unit (3) configured to acquire a first photographed image as a photographed image of the visitor by a photographing device which is installed in the entrance, an authentication control unit (4) configured to perform control so as to perform face authentication of the visitor based on the first photographed image, and a notification unit (5) configured to perform a notification about a visit to a terminal device associated with the visit destination user in a case where the face authentication of the visitor succeeds.
In-store item alert architecture
A method and apparatus for alerting an individual is described. A determination as to whether an individual is within a sensing area of a first device is made. The first device may be configured to provide information about a product on a shelf on which the first device is attached. In response to determining that the individual is within the sensing area, a determination as to whether to notify an occurrence of the determination that the individual is within the sensing area of the first device to at least one second device is made. In response to determining to notify, a notification may be transmitted to the at least one second device that the individual is within the sensing area of the first device. An alert may be triggered at the at least one second device based upon the transmitted notification.
Method and system for user based routing
A system and method for providing route information to a user, in which paths provided to the user are automatically selected based on personal information of the user, so that in following the provided paths, the user passes things in which the user may have particular interest.
Automated determination of image acquisition locations in building interiors using multiple data capture devices
Techniques are described for using multiple devices to automatically determine the acquisition location of an image from a camera device, such as within a building interior and by using data from the multiple devices (e.g., visual data from the camera device's image, and additional data captured by a separate mobile computing device in the same area as the camera device), and for subsequently using determined image acquisition location information in one or more further automated manners. The image may be a panorama image or of another type, and the determined acquisition location for such an image may be at least a location on the building's floor plan—in addition, the automated image acquisition location determination may be further performed without having or using information from any depth sensors or other distance-measuring devices about distances from an image's acquisition location to walls or other objects in the surrounding building.
DYNAMIC CUSTOMER CHECKOUT EXPERIENCE WITHIN AN AUTOMATED SHOPPING ENVIRONMENT
A system and method for a dynamic customer checkout experience within an automated shopping environment that includes generating a virtual cart for the customer through an automatic checkout system; tracking location of the customer; generating an assessment of the virtual cart; and selecting a processing mode for the customer based in part on the assessment and executing the processing mode within at least one computing device in coordination with the location of the entity.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE AND A PARKING FACILITY RESPECTIVELY
A method for operating a vehicle, in which a digital map of a parking facility and at least one target position in the parking facility are received by the vehicle via a communication network, positional data of one or more mobile object(s) located within the parking facility are received by the vehicle via the communication network, the vehicle navigates autonomously in the parking facility to the target position based on the digital map and the positional data of the one or the plurality of mobile object(s), and the vehicle parks itself autonomously at the target position. A device for operating a vehicle, a device and a method for operating a parking facility, and a computer program, are also described.
