The inlays can be formed of an elastomeric material that elastically holds the inlays intension within the channel and allows repeated removal and addition to the channel without fracturing.

A customisable item of jewellery comprises a grid with a plurality of openings defining a plurality of distinct closely contiguous adornment locations, and attachment means suitable for releasably retaining a pin of an adornment in each selected one of the plurality of openings, whereby once a plurality of adornments are attached to the attachment means, a cluster of releasable adornments is formed.

A sub-assembly of external parts for a timepiece or watch or piece of jewellery includes a first component and a second component. The sub-assembly includes a bayonet fit between two edges and two wings of skirts of the first component and the second component. The first component and the second component are able to occupy an assembled and indexed position. The first component or the second component including for this purpose, in part in the thickness of the first skirt or second skirt, an elastically deformable zone including a lug for angular indexation between the first component and second component, cooperating with an indexation limit stop of the other component.

A mounting holds a grooved gemstone invisibly to a setting. One end of the mounting has arms or extensions to receive the gemstone and protrusions extending inwardly from the arms to fit in the grooves of the gemstone, the mounting further comprising a holding configuration for holding the mounting to the setting. Insertion of the mounting into the setting may in one version distort the holding configuration and levers the arms to press harder into the groove.

A ring can include a securing mechanism to allow one of possibly many attachments to be selectively coupled to the ring. Each attachment can include a design or ornamentation. Accordingly, by selecting a particular attachment, the individual can customize the appearance of the ring.

A customizable bracelet or belt that has a matrix of evenly spaced holes all around the article. Inserts such as pegs, rhinestones, and charms are configured to be inserted through any of the holes and will be snugly secured inside the hole. In this way, a very large number of configurations can be designed by a user by using different combinations of the inserts. The configurations can be in a particular pattern, spell words, etc.

A mount for removably mounting a decorative element is provided. The mount includes a base, a spring element positioned in the base and a halo configured to be removably secured to the base. The base has a foundation wall, a first sidewall surrounding the base wall, a second sidewall spaced apart from and inwardly of the first sidewall, a peripheral recess formed between the first and second sidewalls, and a central recess bounded by the foundation wall and the second sidewall.
