Freespace Detection Apparatus and Freespace Detection Method
20170300765 · 2017-10-19 ·

The present invention relates to a freespace detection apparatus and method for identifying. A camera provides at least first and second image data captured at different points in time. Additionally, a motion vector of the camera is detected and assigned to the image data. The image data is transformed with respect to a predetermined, configurable image plane and motion compensation of the transformed image data is performed. Difference image data between the motion compensated transformed image data is computed and an object is identified in the computed difference image data.

In this way, an efficient and memory saving freespace detection can be realized. The freespace detection is scalable, and thus the freespace detection can be adapted to any available computational resources. The freespace detection can be applied to an Advanced Driver Assistance System or any other moving apparatus requiring a freespace detection.

Image distortion correction and robust phantom detection

The invention relates to a method for detecting a phantom, comprising the steps of: arranging a phantom with respect to an object, acquiring at least one image of said object by means of an x-ray apparatus, such that the image contains projections of the object and projections of at least three first calibration fiducials of the phantom, detecting the projections of the at least three first calibration fiducials in said at least one image, and establishing a correspondence between the 2D image coordinates of said projections of the at least three first calibration fiducials and the 3D coordinates of said at least three first calibration fiducials in a local coordinate system of the phantom for computing the projection matrix at least up to a scale factor.

Image Recognition Based Workstation for Evaluation on Quality Check of Colonoscopy
20220198660 · 2022-06-23 ·

Disclosed is an image recognition based workstation for evaluation on quality check of colonoscopy, relating to the technical field of intelligent healthcare. The workstation comprises an algorithm module, a timing module, a data transmission module, a display device, a colonoscopy device, and a computer host. The colonoscopy device is connected with the data transmission module, and the data transmission module is connected with the computer host through the algorithm module and the timing module; and the display device is used to display the results of the computer host. The described workstation can evaluate different techniques of doctors during each colonoscopy check by means of different image recognition algorithms. During the checking process, the workstation determines whether the operation of the doctor is appropriate and gives the corresponding reference suggestions, which is responsible for patients and allows the doctor to continuously improve his ability during the checking process, thereby greatly reducing the pressure on doctors, and allowing doctors to focus more on other more creative tasks, and besides bringing huge economic and social benefits.

Method and apparatus for computer-assisted drawing using pens with tracking marks

The present disclosure generally relates to a new computer input and tracking device, and method of using, more particularly, a new type of digital pen which tracks user hand movements to generate series of point coordinates that represent a drawing or hand writing. Unlike prior digital pens such as the Apple Pencil™ or the Microsoft Surface Pen™, the new system does not require users to write on a touch-sensitive surface. Users can write on any surface such as a notebook, a table, a board, or even in mid air. Users can draw two-dimensional or three-dimensional drawings. The new method utilizes a pen marked with one or more groups of distinct tracking marks or tracking patterns and a camera to track the pen in real-time. A computer running a 3D algorithm processes the camera images, detects and distinguishes the tracking marks, and uses the tracking marks to calculate the positions of the tip of the pen in three-dimensional space. The positions of the tips of the pen are then sent to a drawing application to generate a drawing or hand writing.

In ear device customization using machine learning

A design system generates a design for an in-ear device customized for a user. The in-ear device produces audio content for the user. The design system captures anthropometric data of the user. Using machine learning techniques, the design system determines features of an ear of the user from the anthropometric and generates a three dimensional (3D) geometry of the user's ear. A design for the in-ear device is generated based on the 3D geometry of the user's ear and includes a shell configured to fit in at least a portion of an ear canal of the user.

Ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and display method for ultrasonic inspection

A main image includes a tomographic image and a reference image as ultrasonic images. A sub-image includes a site-of-interest map and a site-of-interest list. During execution of ultrasonic inspection, each time a new site of interest is identified, a site-of-interest symbol is added to the site-of-interest map and a site-of-interest record is added to the site-of-interest list. The position of the site-of-interest symbol is determined according to the position of a probe mark.
