Method of manufacturing jewelry with artifacts such as cremation ashes embedded therein
11950666 · 2024-04-09 · ·

A method includes the selection of a jewelry blank having a chamber for receiving a gem. The chamber is partially filled with a first layer of UV resin. Cremation remains are placed within the first layer of resin or on the surface of the first layer of resin. Then, UV light is used to cure the first layer of resin. A second layer of resin partially fills the remaining void and is cured. Diamond dust may be added to the top surface of the cured second layer. A final layer of protective resin is added into the remaining space of the chamber and cured to create the finished jewelry piece.

Multicolored flexible wearables and related methods

Multicolored flexible wearables include a first portion having a first flexible polymer forming a toroid and including colorant(s), an exposed first outer surface, an exposed second outer surface, and a recess in the first outer surface not reaching the second outer surface. A second portion formed of a second flexible polymer fills a majority of the recess and includes colorant(s). The first and second flexible polymers have different colors and are permanently bonded together. Precious material particles may be disposed within the first and/or second flexible polymers. One or more of the colorants may have a color matching a color of the precious material particles. One method of bonding the portions includes depositing a liquid second portion into the recess and then curing it. Another method includes depositing a solid second portion into the recess and then curing a liquid layer of polymer between the first portion and second portion.

METHOD FOR COATING AN EXTERNAL PART, IN PARTICULAR IN THE HOROLOGICAL FIELD, AND COATED EXTERNAL PART

A method for coating an external part (1) used in the horology, fashion, jewellery and gemstone jewellery fields, the coating method comprising the steps of at least partially overmoulding the external part (1) with an overmoulding layer (4) made of a plastic polymer material selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic polymers of the polyurethane family and thermosetting polymers of the epoxy polymer family, or from the group consisting of thermoplastic acrylic resins.

A ring assembly including an annular body having an outer portion and an inner portion. The ring assembly includes at least one groove provided about the inner portion of the annular body so as to define at least one corresponding symbol, said at least one corresponding symbol having a raised body with respect to a bottom surface of the inner portion of the annular body. The ring assembly also includes a coating provided over the at least one groove defined about the inner portion of the annular body in order to provide a contrast between the coating and the at least one corresponding symbol on the inner portion of the annular body.

JEWELRY WITH FEATURES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC DATA
20190125044 · 2019-05-02 ·

Jewelry that includes a topographical feature of a selected geographic location is made by obtaining topographic data for a geographic area around the selected location. The data is then used to create a topographic surface that is representative of the topography of the area and the 3D surface is adjusted for scale, viewpoint, and other features and merged with a template for a piece of jewelry. The resulting merged object is printed and the printed object is cast to produce a piece of jewelry that includes a topographic representation of the selected location.

Epilamization method of an element of a timepiece or piece of jewellery

The invention relates to a method for epilamization of at least one portion of a substrate surface comprising the steps of: a) preparing an epilame agent b) optionally, preparing the substrate surface c) placing the substrate and the epilame agent in a chamber at ambient pressure d) introducing CO.sub.2 into the hermetically sealed chamber at a pressure comprised between 25 bar and 74 bar and at a temperature comprised between 10 C. and 80 C. for a duration comprised between 1 minute and 30 minutes, e) reducing the pressure in the chamber, and f) removing the epilamized substrate from the chamber.

Composite Wearables and Related Methods

A composite wearable includes a first toroid, substantially formed of a first material and having a recess, and a second toroid substantially formed of a second material. The recess is sized and shaped to at least partially receive the second toroid in a manually-removable friction fit such that the second toroid may be manually interchanged with another second toroid, or the first toroid may be manually interchanged with another first toroid, to adjust a configuration of the composite wearable.
