System and method for providing directions haptically
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for providing directions haptically such that sight and hearing can continue unimpeded. In one exemplary embodiment, a wearable device (such as earphones, ear rings, gloves, glasses, or other wearable objects) configured as disclosed herein receives directions to an intended destination for a user, the directions comprising a movement action and a distance to the movement action. The wearable device has multiple haptic output units and generates, through one of those units, a haptic output based on the directions. This allows the user to receive the directions through touch rather than looking at their mobile device or from audio.
Assembly to protect personal belongings and charge mobile communication devices
A protection and/or charging assembly includes a power apparatus, a protection housing, a charging apparatus and/or a locking assembly. The power apparatus provides electrical power to components of the protection and/or charging assembly. The protection housing houses one or more personal belongings and/or electronic devices. The charging apparatus receives power from the power apparatus and charges the one or more electronic devices. The locking assembly locks and/or unlocks the protection housing and allows the one or more personal belongings to be stored in an interior of the protection housing.
UMBRELLA ASSEMBLY HAVING A MODULARIZED DRIVE MODULE
An umbrella assembly with a drive module assembly that comprises a plurality of modularized units, including a separate power supply unit and a separate drive unit. The modularized units are removably/detachably attached in a stacked structure of the overall drive module using quick connect couplings. The interfacing top and bottom sides of the adjacent modularized units are provided with complementary electrical connection terminals. The drive module is structurally and operatively coupled to the frame structure of the canopy of the umbrella assembly to operate to open/extend or close/collapse the canopy between an opened configuration and a closed configuration, by varying the distance between the upper hub and the lower hub of the frame structure.
Solar umbrella
The solar umbrella forms a temporary shelter. The solar umbrella creates a protected space for use during outdoor activities. The solar umbrella incorporates an umbrella structure, a control circuit, and a cooling structure. The cooling structure and the control circuit attach to the umbrella structure. The umbrella structure forms the protected space. The cooling structure generates an air flow within the protected space. The control circuit provides electric energy used to operate: a) the cooling structure; and, b) externally provided electrically powered devices.
SOLAR RADIATION MITIGATION SYSTEM
A solar radiation mitigation system mountable to a furniture element, the solar radiation mitigation system comprising a panel assembly comprising a first panel capable of blocking a first radiation amount, and a second panel in operational relation with the first panel and detachably connected thereto, the second panel being capable of blocking a second radiation amount, wherein the panel assembly blocks a combined radiation amount greater than the first and second radiation amounts when the first and second panels are in operational relation, at least one adjustable arm comprising a distal arm connector connected to the first panel, a proximal arm connector being detachably attachable to the furniture element for mounting the system to the furniture element, and an elongated member extending from the proximal arm connector to the distal arm connector, the elongated member being adjustable to position and orient the first panel with respect to the furniture element.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A POWER SOURCE
An apparatus for removably receiving a container is disclosed. The apparatus has a structural assembly having a cavity configured to removably receive the container, a renewable power source supported by the structural assembly, an electrical component including a power storage supported by the structural assembly, a thermal assembly disposed at the cavity and configured to heat or cool the container when the container is received in the cavity, and an elongated support member attached to the structural assembly and configured to be inserted into the ground.

FOLDABLE SUNSHADE
A foldable sunshade (1), comprising a first flat-shaped element (2) and a second flat-shaped element (3), each hinged, on at least a first side (C) thereof, to—respectively—a first upright (4) and a second upright (5), the first flat-shaped element (2) and the second flat-shaped element (3) comprising first mutual constraining means (6) configured to keep the flat-shaped elements (2, 3) aligned along a second side (L) thereof, between at least one flat-shaped element (2, 3) and at least one upright (4, 5), there being a first cross bar (7) featured which is configured to maintain a predetermined angle between the mutually aligned flat-shaped elements and the uprights (4, 5) when the sunshade is in an operative configuration, the first and the second upright being mutually hinged (8), at least one of the uprights (4,5) featuring a base (9) configured to provide stable support on the ground when the sunshade is in the operational configuration, and the sunshade being configured to take on a folded configuration wherein the first upright (4) and the second upright (5) are mutually superimposed and sandwiched between the first flat-shaped element (2) and the second flat-shaped element (3).
Solar-powered charging umbrella with USB ports
A solar-powered umbrella has a cap structure that is connected by hinges to struts. The struts are relatively rigid and positioned above the umbrella shade and house solar panels. When the umbrella is opened and closed, the struts rotate via the hinges from an open to closed position. When the solar panels are exposed to the sun, light is converted to electrical energy to charge a rechargeable battery. The battery supplies power to one or more USB ports. A user can recharge an electronic device (e.g., smartphone or tablet computer) by connecting to a port of the umbrella using a cable.
PORTABLE SUNSHADE AND SLIP-ON MOUNTING BASE
An article for providing shade includes a sunshade and a slip-on mounting base. The sunshade includes a shield, a set of ribs connected to the shield, and a plurality of support arms connected to the shield. The slip-on mounting base includes a body that defines a cavity and an opening. The body is configured to slip on the back portion of an item of outdoor furniture into the cavity through the opening. The body is stretchable and is configured to stretch to receive the back portion of different items of outdoor furniture with different sizes. The slip-on mounting base includes a plurality of receptacles attached to the body. Each receptacle includes an opening to receive a support arm of the sunshade. Each receptacle holds the corresponding support arm such that the shield, when unfolded, covers at least a portion of the back portion of the item of outdoor furniture.
