Beach Umbrella Anchoring and Stabilizing Device
A beach umbrella anchoring and stabilizing device includes a support shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a hollow interior for receiving a beach umbrella. An anchoring container affixed to the support shaft includes an open top, a closed bottom, and a sidewall extending around the support shaft from the open top to the closed bottom. The sidewall defines a laterally extending reservoir for receiving sand to anchor the device underneath the beach surface and provide lateral support to a beach umbrella mounted into the support shaft. Stabilizing vanes protrude from the distal end of the support shaft and extend from the closed bottom to the distal end. Each of the stabilizing vanes defines a broad surface that engages sand when a rotational force is exerted onto the support shaft, thereby preventing rotation of the support shaft about a longitudinal axis thereof when buried under the sand.
PORTABLE AND STACKABLE UMBRELLA STAND AND TABLE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A portable and stackable combination umbrella stand and table system comprised of a stand housing interoperable with a first lid portion to cover an opening in an umbrella securing body and a second lid portion to serve as a table top. The stand housing may be configured to form a concave area for receiving sand or other ballast to securely anchor the system in an upright position. As the concave area of the stand housing is filled with sand or other ballast, the first lid portion may serve as a cap by covering the upper portion of the umbrella securing body and prevents the ingress of sand or other ballast material from entering the channel (through which the umbrella pole may thereby be more easily inserted). The first lid may be removed to receive an umbrella within the umbrella securing body, and the second lid portion, which may be configured to be installed with the stand so as to form a table surface, may thereby facilitate snacking once ballast has been received. The housing is shaped so as to facilitate stacking of multiple systems. A variety of other features may be provided, including hooks and other retaining and storage features formed within or attached to the system, as well as a carrying handle and latches to secure the table top lid, any or all of which are designed for both personal and commercial use.
Umbrella Pole Adapter For Boat Table Leg Mounts
An umbrella pole adapter to convert boat dining table leg mounts into temporary umbrella stands is presented. The umbrella adapter is a tubular oval design shape member consisting of an upper end and a bottom end with a center opening running thru the length. The unique tubular oval design shape and the rubber material for the center opening, enables the umbrella anchor pole to be inserted and secured inside the adaptor without the need for any other parts. The same unique tubular oval design shape and rubber material for the exterior wall, enables the adapter to be inserted and secured inside the boat hollow dining table leg mount, without the need for any other parts.
System and Method for Providing Directions Haptically
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for providing directions haptically such that sight and hearing can continue unimpeded. In one exemplary embodiment, a wearable device (such as earphones, ear rings, gloves, glasses, or other wearable objects) configured as disclosed herein receives directions to an intended destination for a user, the directions comprising a movement action and a distance to the movement action. The wearable device has multiple haptic output units and generates, through one of those units, a haptic output based on the directions. This allows the user to receive the directions through touch rather than looking at their mobile device or from audio.
UMBRELLA ANCHORING APPARATUS
A beach umbrella anchoring and stabilizing device configured to stabilize a beach umbrella on a sandy surface includes an elongated support shaft, an anchoring container, and multiple gussets. The support shaft extends along a longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end and includes a hollow interior configured to receive a beach umbrella support post. An anchoring container is coupled to the distal end and includes an open top with an upper perimeter edge substantially surrounding the support shaft, a closed bottom defining a substantially planar surface, and at least one sidewall extending therebetween. Multiple gussets extend radially between the support shaft and the sidewall. Each of the gussets extends from the closed bottom in a proximal direction parallel to the longitudinal axis.
ALL PURPOSE COOLER WITH TABLETOP
A cooler including a main body, a lid, and a tabletop. The main body includes an interior cavity and an upper circumference when the main body is in an upright position. The lid and the tabletop are both pivotally attached to the main body. The lid has a closed position for covering the upper circumference of the main body to enclose the interior cavity forming an insulating container. The tabletop has an opened position to form a horizontal surface for placing and supporting objects when the main body is in the upright position.
FOLDABLE SUNSHADE
A foldable sunshade (1), comprising a first flat-shaped element (2) and a second flat-shaped element (3), each hinged, on at least a first side (C) thereof, to—respectively—a first upright (4) and a second upright (5), the first flat-shaped element (2) and the second flat-shaped element (3) comprising first mutual constraining means (6) configured to keep the flat-shaped elements (2, 3) aligned along a second side (L) thereof, between at least one flat-shaped element (2, 3) and at least one upright (4, 5), there being a first cross bar (7) featured which is configured to maintain a predetermined angle between the mutually aligned flat-shaped elements and the uprights (4, 5) when the sunshade is in an operative configuration, the first and the second upright being mutually hinged (8), at least one of the uprights (4,5) featuring a base (9) configured to provide stable support on the ground when the sunshade is in the operational configuration, and the sunshade being configured to take on a folded configuration wherein the first upright (4) and the second upright (5) are mutually superimposed and sandwiched between the first flat-shaped element (2) and the second flat-shaped element (3).
Solar-powered charging umbrella with USB ports
A solar-powered umbrella has a cap structure that is connected by hinges to struts. The struts are relatively rigid and positioned above the umbrella shade and house solar panels. When the umbrella is opened and closed, the struts rotate via the hinges from an open to closed position. When the solar panels are exposed to the sun, light is converted to electrical energy to charge a rechargeable battery. The battery supplies power to one or more USB ports. A user can recharge an electronic device (e.g., smartphone or tablet computer) by connecting to a port of the umbrella using a cable.
Umbrella system
An umbrella system includes a support pole connected to a rotating tube positioned around a center tube that extends between the support pole and a center support that is connected to an umbrella frame. The rotating tube has one or more helical grooves therein that are engaged by teeth of a hub which is connected to the umbrella frame. As the rotating tube is rotated, the hub is driven along the length of the rotating tube thereby opening and closing the umbrella frame. In one arrangement system includes a motor housing assembly including a plurality of batteries and a motor that includes a driven gear that meshes with a stationary gear which causes rotation of the rotating tube. The system also includes a counterbalance assembly positioned within the rotating tube. The counterbalance assembly includes at least one spring positioned within the rotating tube that provides a counterbalance force.
Electronic assembly for a cover supported by a pole
An electronic assembly for a cover supported by a pole is disclosed. The pole defines a top portion associated with a cover and an opposing bottom portion that engages a support surface such as a floor. The electronic assembly may comprise an electronic fan defining a fan body housing a motor that rotates a hub associated with collapsible fan blades. The pole may extend through the body so that the hub rotates about an axis defined by the pole. The body may further slide up and down the pole and engage the pole at a first latch point where it stays while deployed and operating. A power source may be provided to supply the power needed to rotate the hub. A sensor may be disposed at or adjacent to the first latch point and the electronic fan may be disabled when the sensor does not sense the fan body.
