A money handling device for accepting, storing and dispensing valuable documents in exchange for goods or services includes a validation module (100), a recycler module (200) and a note storage module (300). The validation module determines acceptable and non-acceptable valuable documents, and the storage module stores acceptable valuable documents. The recycler is arranged to dispense a temporarily stored valuable document to the validation module for dispensing as change or to dispense a temporarily stored valuable document to the note storage module.

Transaction system, transaction apparatus, and transaction method

In order to adjust the amount of money in a transaction apparatus installed in a store, a transaction system includes: a money handling unit that receives money, and recognizes and counts the received money to acquire a first total amount of the received money and a quantity of money for each denomination; a memory that stores therein a transaction condition including a transaction fee rate previously set for each denomination; and a processing unit that calculates, for each denomination, an amount of money by multiplying the quantity of money for each denomination by the transaction fee rate, based on the quantity of money and the transaction condition, and performs processing on a transaction of the received money, based on the first total amount acquired by the money handling unit and on a second total amount calculated by summing up the calculated amounts of money for the respective denominations.

Coin and bill dispensing safe

A readily reconfigurable cash dispensing system for providing change, such as coins of different values and bills or currency of different denominations needed by a retail store, grocery store, busy convenience store, or the like. A tray or trays for storing and delivering multiple rolls of coins or bills of a first value, as well as, a tray or trays for storing and delivering stacks of bills are described herein. A bill acceptor may be employed to accept bills used to purchase rolls of coins and stacks of bills, and a system controller can sense restocking and dispensing events to maintain an accurate inventory of cash in the bill acceptor, as well as, the total cash stored in the form of coin rolls or rolls bills, as well as, bill stacks.

Tapes holding bills and wound round a drum are pressed against the drum by a winding roller, and the tapes are further pressed against the drum by a guide roller provided downstream of the winding roller in the tape winding direction of the drum. Thus, bills difficult to be curved along the outer circumferential surface of the drum, such as creased or wrinkled bills, can be curved along the outer circumferential surface of the drum, and the bills wound round the drum can be prevented from shifting or skewing.

Method for checking a value document

A method is described for checking a value document, wherein measuring values of the value document are detected in spatially resolved fashion. The measuring value detected in the respective measuring point is allocated to a node corresponding to this measuring point, and a two-dimensional network of nodes is formed therefrom. A network is formed from the two-dimensional network of the nodes and a source node and a sink node. By means of the maximally possible flow through the network, the value document is classified as suspected of forgery or not suspected of forgery. The maximally possible flow through the network is a measure for the degree of probability of the value document having a continuous object along a direction transverse to the direction of the network, said object indicating a manipulation of the value document, such as e.g. an adhesive strip or a separating line of a composed forgery.
