The coin batch loading device of the present invention is a coin batch loading device capable of separating out coins one by one which were input as a batch and delivering them, including a cylindrical portion having an opening at the top and a side wall and a bottom wall, a rotor which is disposed inside the cylindrical portion and rotates about the center of the cylindrical portion, outer periphery sensors provided inside the cylindrical portion which detect one or more coins on an outer perimeter portion of the rotor, and a control device for controlling the rotation of the rotor, wherein if one or more outer periphery sensors detect one or more coins, the control device is able to set the rotational speed of the rotor to a medium speed which is lower than a high speed.

The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for processing documents of value, in particular bank notes, and a method for operating such an apparatus (1). The apparatus (1) includes several processing zones (2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13), such as for example an input module (2), an operating module (3) and an output module (4). The apparatus (1) is further set up to detect events in the processing zones (2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13), which require an intervention of an operator. The processing zones (2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13) each have at least one cover (6), which, dependent on such a detected event, is automatically opened without intervention of the operator.

The apparatus optionally has a formatting device for the automatic alignment of a value document stack removed from the value document container before the stack is inserted in the value document cassette. A finger element is attached to the transport device of the gripping device, and besides the gripping device, the finger element is guided into the value document cassette before the value documents are inserted.
