In order to manage a transaction that is performed to resolve shortage of money in a store, a transaction management system that manages a transaction, in which depositing of money or money change is to be performed, is provided with: an input device configured to input transaction identification information set for the transaction that has been reserved; a money handling apparatus configured to count deposited money to performe the transaction; and a communication unit configured to transmit handling information based on at least one of the transaction identification information inputted by the input device, and depositing information obtained by counting the deposited money by the money handling apparatus, to another device via a network.

A coin payout apparatus 100 is provided. The coin payout apparatus 100 includes a coin canister 101. The coin canister 101 includes a tube 102 for storing coins. The coin canister 101 also includes a coin ejector 202 operable to eject a coin from the tube 102. The coin canister 101 further includes a hopping disc 318 operable to rotate and engage the coin ejector 202 to eject the coin from the tube 102 when the tube 102 is moved into position with the hopping disc 318.

A coin payout apparatus 100 is provided. The coin payout apparatus 100 includes a coin canister 101. The coin canister 101 includes a tube 102 for storing coins. The coin canister 101 also includes a coin ejector 202 operable to eject a coin from the tube 102. The coin canister 101 further includes a hopping disc 318 operable to rotate and engage the coin ejector 202 to eject the coin from the tube 102 when the tube 102 is moved into position with the hopping disc 318.

According to an embodiment, an accounting apparatus includes a change machine, a detection device, and a controller. The controller determines whether or not the change machine is capable of paying change in cash on the basis of a result of a detection by the detection device. The controller accepts, when determining that the change machine fails to pay the change in cash, a payment method selected by a customer from a plurality of change payment methods other than paying in cash.

According to an embodiment, an accounting apparatus includes a change machine, a detection device, and a controller. Aspects of the disclosure relate to data processing systems for identifying optimal currency combinations when processing events. A computing platform may receive an event processing request and a user identifier corresponding to the event processing request. The computing platform may determine a currency profile corresponding to the user identifier and exchange rates for currencies included in the currency profile, and may execute an optimization algorithm accordingly. For example, the computing platform may identify first and second optimal solutions for processing the event processing request and may identify, by comparing the first optimal solution and the second optimal solution, that the first optimal solution is more effective. Based on the first optimal solution, the computing platform may generate a user interface indicating the currency types and amounts associated with the first optimal solution. Then, the computing platform may send the user interface to the user device for display.

In various embodiments, a method may include receiving an indication of a price of an item to be purchased by a person from a merchant, receiving an indication of an amount tendered by the person, determining an amount of change due to the person based on the price and based on the amount tendered, determining the rules of a game, generating a first outcome of the game using a random number generator, determining based on the rules whether the first outcome is winning or losing, authorizing, if the first outcome is winning, that the amount tendered be returned to the person and that the person be allowed to keep the item, and authorizing, if the first outcome is losing, that the amount tendered be kept by the merchant.

A coin processing unit includes a control unit that causes a coin dispensing unit to dispense a prescribed number of coins in a plurality of times according to the total volume of the coins or the prescribed number of coins.
