METHOD OF CONTROLLING INFORMATION PROCESSOR, NON-TRANSITORY CONTROLLER-READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A POS terminal has: a device driver; a POS application that communicates with a peripheral through the device driver; a filter driver that acquires communication information related to communication performed between the POS application and the peripheral through the device driver; and a failure detection application that acquires communication information from the filter driver over a predetermined period, defines a decision reference according to which a decision is made about an abnormality related to the peripheral, according to the acquired communication information, and makes a decision about an abnormality related to the peripheral through a comparison between the defined decision reference and communication information acquired from the filter driver after the predetermined period.
MONEY DISPENSING MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, MONEY DISPENSING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND MONEY DISPENSING MANAGEMENT METHOD
The POS register 20 receives a withdrawal amount of cash to be withdrawn (S1), and transmits a withdrawal possibility determination request to a change machine 30 (S2a). The change machine 30 determines whether withdrawal is possible, based on the withdrawal amount in the withdrawal possibility determination request, inventory quantity data, and reserved-for-change quantity data (S2b), and transmits a determination result to the POS register 20 (S2c). When the determination result is withdrawal impossible, the POS register 20 notifies that dispensing of money is impossible. When the determination result is withdrawal possible, cash is dispensed from the change machine 30 (S9) through notification of a settlement request amount to a debit terminal 70 (S3), reading of a debit card (S4), a settlement request to a management server 100 (S5), reception of settlement permission (S6, S7), and dispensing instruction to the change machine 30 (S8).
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An information processing apparatus includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit has programmed instructions to acquire a first number of commodities specified to be purchased based on first data acquired by a first sensor, acquire a second number of commodities stored in a storing body that stores commodities to be purchased based on second data acquired by a second sensor, compare the first number of commodities with the second number of commodities, and provide a notification to a display device in response to the first number of commodities being different that the second number of commodities.
Threat monitoring and notifications
A system for monitoring financial threats includes: at least one central processing unit and system memory that causes the system to: receive information about a threat associated with a financial services device; identify a type of the threat; identify a location associated with the threat; and notify one or more customers associated with the financial services device based upon the type or the location of the threat.
Method for detecting a risk of replacement of a terminal, corresponding device, program and recording medium
A method is provided for detecting a risk of replacement of an authentic electronic payment terminal by a fraudulent electronic payment terminal. The method includes generating an alert when the value of at least one operating characteristic associated with the authentic electronic payment terminal is below at least one predetermined threshold.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STIMULATION-BASED REPLAY OF INTEGRATED DEVICES
A method of simulating device state changes in an integrated system includes receiving a transaction request from a client device, storing the transaction request as a first event in an event log, transmitting the transaction request to a terminal device, storing the transmission of the transaction request as a second event in the event log, receiving a device response from the terminal device, storing the device response as a third event in the event log, and when the integrated system is under test, a simulator replays the stored events in the integrated system under test.
Systems and methods for simulation-based replay of integrated devices
A method of simulating device state changes in an integrated system includes receiving a transaction request from a client device, storing the transaction request as a first event in an event log, transmitting the transaction request to a terminal device, storing the transmission of the transaction request as a second event in the event log, receiving a device response from the terminal device, storing the device response as a third event in the event log, and when the integrated system is under test, a simulator replays the stored events in the integrated system under test.
SALES DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS AND PAYMENT APPARATUS
According to an embodiment, a sales data processing apparatus includes a camera positioned to acquire images of a region around the sales data processing apparatus and a user input unit permitting a user to operate the sales data processing apparatus. A controller is configured to perform registration processing on items in a sales transaction, acquire a first image from the camera, acquire a second image from the camera after the first image, and then acquire an image analysis comparing the first image to the second image to determine whether the camera has shifted position between the acquisition of the first image and the second image. If the camera has shifted between the acquisition of the first image and the second image, the controller performs countermeasure processing, such as pausing the sales data processing, issuing a warning notification, or attempting to return the camera to the previous position.
ATTENDANT TERMINAL FOR STORES WITH MULTIPLE POINT-OF-SALE SERVICE TYPES
According to an embodiment, an attendant terminal for retail stores operating multiple point-of-sale systems includes an input unit configured to receive a user designation of a first terminal type or a second terminal type, a network interface configured to connect to a transaction server tracking a status of one or more sales transactions being performed by customers on a point-of-sale service terminal of the first terminal type or a point-of-sale service terminal of the second terminal type, and a processor. The processor is configured to filter sales transaction status information based on the user designation of the first terminal type or the second terminal type, and cause a display device to display the sales transaction status information as filtered based on the user designation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLOUD-BASED TESTING OF POS DEVICES
A computer-implemented method for cloud-based testing of a payment network may include receiving a test configuration for testing a payment processing network, configuring a simulated worker generator for generating a plurality of simulated workers according to the received test configuration, reading commands to be executed by each simulated worker among the plurality of simulated workers from a command bank according to the received test configuration, configuring the plurality of simulated workers according to the commands and the received test configuration, starting a swarm test of the payment processing network by the plurality of simulated workers, reading results of the swarm test from the plurality of simulated workers, and saving the results to storage.
