20240177578 · 2024-05-30 · ·

An apparatus for detecting a number of articles, the apparatus including: a first detecting device configured to detect a shopping container in an image; a classifying device configured to classify an image of articles in the shopping container by using a classifier, and determine the number of articles corresponding to a classification result; and a number setting device configured to take the number of articles determined by the classifying device as a prediction value of the number of articles in the shopping container when the number of articles determined by the classifying device is greater than a first threshold. In this disclosure, the number of the articles in the shopping container is determined by using a relationship between the number of the articles to which the classification result of the image corresponds and the threshold.

Centralized Platform for Conducting Commercial Transactions Using a Near Field Communication Network

The invention concerns a system for conducting a transaction on a set of products available in a geographical area, including a plurality of RF scanners and a centralized platform, in which: each of said scanners is associated with a product and adapted, when scanning an RF badge, to transmit to said centralized platform a message containing at least one identifier of said product and an identifier associated with said badge; and said platform is associated with said geographical area and adapted to receive said messages and to store a virtual basket associating with the identifier of the badge the identifier or identifiers of products contained in the messages, and to display said virtual basket by means of a human-machine interface.

The invention relates to a product identification system when the goods are purchased by a buyer in a self-service store. The product identification system in the self-service store includes a scanning device, a goods collecting device with an individual identification number, a camera, at least one self-service payment terminal and a server. The scanning device reads the identification number, scans the barcodes of goods, creates a list of goods and a resulting barcode. The camera is installed on the goods collecting device and reads images of the goods and tracks its movement. The terminal sends information to the server, wherein the server receives and analyzes information from the camera and terminal. In case when the information from the camera and from the resulting barcode coincide, the buyer pays for the purchase, and receives a check.

According to an embodiment, a self-service point of sale device is provided in a store. An input device receives, from a user, input of merchandise information corresponding to merchandise to be purchased in a current transaction. A memory stores an error count in connection with the current transaction. A processor performs a registration and accounting processing for the current transaction based on the received input of merchandise information and received payment information. The processor determines when the user performs an operation error in connection with the registration and accounting processing, and increments the error count when the user is determined to perform the operation error. The processor determines whether the error count exceeds a predetermined amount, and when the error count exceeds the predetermined amount, controls an output device to output an alert recommending that the user use a manned cash register in the store for a future transaction.
