Egress advisement devices to output emergency egress guidance to users
11620884 · 2023-04-04 · ·

A system for providing audio and visual signaling output to egress a building. A central monitoring system can determine, based on user presence information, a floormap of the building having multiple routes and exits, receive emergency indication information indicating one or more locations within the building that may have an emergency, determine, based on the floormap and emergency indication information, egress plans that can be used by the users to exit the building, transmit, to signal generators of a first of signaling devices, first signaling instructions for the first of the signal generators to emit first signals that indicate to first users a first egress plan to exit the building, and transmit, to signal generators of a second of the signaling devices, second signaling instructions for the second of the signal generators to emit second signals that indicate to second users a second egress plan to exit the building.

Real time defibrillator incident data

System and methods for delivering defibrillator incident information to a PSAP in real-time during emergency use of an AED are described. Such information is utilized by a telecommunicator at a PSAP to provide better guidance to volunteer caregivers during potential cardiac arrest incidents. In another aspect the AED's current instruction state and optionally the time in that state is provided to the PSAP.

Responder network

A variety of methods, medical devices, responder network servers, emergency services interfaces and call center related processes are described that can help improve responder networks designed to get a medical device such as an automated external defibrillator and/or volunteer responders to the scene of a potential medical incident.

TARGETED ALERT SYSTEM WITH LOCATION-BASED AND ROLE-BASED ALERT DISTRIBUTION

A system for distributing targeted alerts to building occupants includes building equipment and a targeted alert system. The building equipment are configured to detect an event within a building and generate an alert identifying the event. The targeted alert system is configured to receive the alert from the building equipment, identify a location within the building of each of a plurality of building occupants, identify a role performed by each of the plurality of building occupants, select one or more of the building occupants to receive the alert based on at least one of the location of each building occupant and the role performed by each building occupant, and distribute the alert to the selected building occupants.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONVERGED INCIDENT MANAGEMENT WORKFLOWS BETWEEN PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SAFETY
20230189396 · 2023-06-15 ·

Techniques for converged incident management workflows between private and public safety are provided. A workflow server connected to a network and associated with an enterprise detects that a workflow has been initiated. The workflow includes an action to request a public safety response. A workflow identifier for the workflow that has been initiated is sent to a public safety network. Information associated with the workflow that has been initiated is sent to the public safety network. An indication of capabilities of the public safety response is received. The workflow server creates at least one of a trigger node and an action node associated with the indication of capabilities of the public safety response. At least one existing workflow within the workflow server is modified to include the at least one of the trigger node an action node associated with the indication of capabilities of the public safety response.

PREDICTIVE BUILDING EMERGENCY GUIDANCE AND ADVISEMENT SYSTEM
20230177937 · 2023-06-08 ·

The disclosed technology uses signaling devices and sensors that are distributed throughout a building in order to provide egress guidance to people located in a building when an emergency occurs. Such signaling devices can be located at or near doors, windows, and/or other junction points between different parts of a building (e.g., passageways between different rooms). Signaling devices can provide audio and/or visual information to people to guide them along a safe pathway that is selected to provide safe egress for the person, including anticipating and protecting the person from changing emergency conditions within the building.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TELEMATICS ACCOUNTS ON-THE-GROUND SAFETY

Some embodiments are directed to an emergency response system implemented via a back-end application computer server. A vehicle telematics data store may contain electronic records and each electronic record may include, for example, an electronic record identifier and at least one vehicle operation parameter (e.g., a vehicle speed, an accident location, an accident time of day, etc.). The computer server may receive, from an emergency responder (e.g., a police officer, ambulance, firefighter, etc.) via an interactive graphical emergency responder interface display, a vehicle tag (e.g., based on a QR code). The computer server may then retrieve, from the vehicle telematics data store, a vehicle operation parameter associated with the vehicle tag and update the display based on the retrieved a vehicle operation parameter associated with the vehicle tag.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING LOCATIONS OF STUDENTS WITHIN SCHOOL BUILDINGS
20220353639 · 2022-11-03 ·

A student tracking system deploys distributed sensors throughout a school building. The distributed sensors receive identification information broadcast by user devices carried by occupants of the school such as students, teachers and school administrators. The student tracking system tracks the location of the occupants within the building based on which sensors most recently detected the user devices. The system sends the location information for the occupants to tracking devices operated by tracking users such as school administrators, emergency responders and/or parents. The tracking devices also present to the parents image data captured by surveillance cameras depicting the students. Additionally, the distributed sensors detect the presence of unauthorized individuals within the school building by determining whether an individual detected via a proximity or motion detector corresponds to identification information for a registered user device received by the sensors.

SHOPPING PARTY LOCATOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20170316668 · 2017-11-02 ·

Provided are a shopping party locator system and method. The system and method includes creating a shopping party for a group of customers entering a store, wherein creating the shopping party includes operating a shopping party application on a store computing system to take and store a photo of the group of customers and create a label for each member of the group of customers. The label of a member of the group of customers separated from the shopping party may be scanned by a scanning device. The label of any member of the shopping party may be scanned if a member is discovered missing. The system automatically notifies a designated caretaker and notifies all associates and customers in the store that the member is separated in order to find the separated person. Once found, the separated member's label may be scanned the identity verified.

Integrative security system and method

A method for monitoring and securing a facility without employing a manned control center, according to which a server acquires surveillance data from each of a plurality of distributed surveillance devices deployed within or adjacent to a given security sensitive facility. Then the server receives an intrusion alert from a guard, or from one or more of the plurality of surveillance devices to initiate a triggering event, if the acquired surveillance data is indicative of activity that has been detected at an indicated location. A first guard is alerted and presented with a full situational awareness image to assess the severity of the detected activity and the triggering event is terminated if found by the first guard to be of a low severity, or an interception operation initiated by self-dispatching or dispatching one or more additional guards to a close by location that holds tactical advantage relative to the indicated location if the triggering event was found by the first guard to be of a high severity.
